Every kitchen needs one! Bzayeat Brand 14-Inch Tri-Ply Stainless Steel Frying Pan with Lid & Detachable Handle or easy storage. It is Induction Compatible Oven and Dishwasher Safe, I Fry, Sautéing Simmering etc Large 5 quart capacity. The lid is also oven safe glass with metal handle. This is a BIG pan. You cannot fit another pan behind it if you are using on the stove top. Perfect for one-pan meals. REMINDER: Stainless Steel is NOT non-stick. You need to properly cook your food to a certain temperature and then the stainless steel naturally "lets go" so that your food does not stick. If you are not sure what I am referring to, it's easy to do an internet search. Stainless steel pans can also be seasoned. But if you choose that option, just like cast iron, you only rinse clean and wipe dry. (Info also via internet search) Never wash with harsh soaps, scrubbies or in the dishwasher once properly seasoned We use only stainless steel and cast iron for all our cooking. This is a good value b/c its actually restaurant quality. Extra points for the detachable handle for storage and the induction Compatible Read more
I love this stainless steel pan and lid. It is very well made and seems durable. The handle needed to be attached, but it was very easy to do. The handle is robust and comfortable to hold. It has a smaller handle on the opposite side, which makes it easy to move. The 3 ply construction heats quickly and distributes heat evenly. I really like that the pan is oven safe and that it can be used with any cooktop. It can handle temperatures up to 600F, which I really like. The non-reactive surface is perfect for the types of foods I like to cook. The tempered glass is very sturdy and has a vent to release steam. It is dishwasher safe, but I prefer to hand wash the pan. It is very easy to wipe down with soapy water. The pan is a dream to cook with. The 14 inch size is perfect for anything from roasting chicken to braises. It has become my favorite pan to cook just about anything with. It sears really well, and I love that I can go directly into the oven afterward. The non-reactive surface develops a really nice fond that turns into a perfect sauce when I deglaze it. Overall, I am very happy with it. it is a great value for a quality pan and lid that is extremely versatile. Read more
Received this cookware the other day and immediately put it to use. I was surprised by the immense size and quality of the pan, but also thrown off about the required assembly of the handle. I've never purchased a pan that needed to be assembled but the manufacturers included instructions and the tool to install a very large and durable handle. The installation was easy enough (just two bolts) and they included the necessary spanner to assemble in the package. This type of pan requires a degree of special care. 3 ply is compared to 5 ply is considered to be a weaker material than the more expensive 5 ply stainless steel pans. 3 ply can be susceptible to warping, discoloring, and uneven heating due to misuse and unwillingness to really adhere to a specific maintenance regimen, so make sure you're ready to do that with this pan and I think you will be very happy. Instructions are included but you should do some research on your own also. For example, the pan says it is dishwasher safe but nothing I've read suggests washing stainless steel in a dishwasher. As a matter of fact, most videos I've watched say NOT TO wash in the dishwasher, so again do your own research on maintenance and care. (NOTE: White vinegar is very important to cleaning and there are lots of videos on the internet on how to care for this type of pan with boiling vinegar.) (NOTE: Cooking acidic foods like tomato sauces can discolor the pan and even degrade the quality. It isn't suggested to cook highly acidic foods in stainless steel.) As for the quality of the pan it is definitely a culinary enthusiasts piece. I mean I can't say enough about the quality. I was taken back by the quality and beauty of the pan, it is truly beautiful, and I don't think that anyone would be disappointed. My first run with the pan went so smoothly that I really don't want to cook in any of my iron, or teflon coated pans anymore. After seasoning properly and cooking at the recommended levels this pan performed so well that the only thing I could replace it with would be a smaller version of this pan. This pan does come with a vented lid for stewing and braising. It is an all glass lid with a stainless steel rim and handle. The glass is ported with a small ventilation hole so you don't have to worry about pressure buildup in the pan if left on for a long time, this also makes it easier to achieve moderate heat levels at low to high temperatures. Very nice lid, except the handle isn't insulated from heat, so be careful not to burn yourself. This pan is extremely large and easily capacitates cooking for a family of 4. I consider this to be the "stew pot" of pans and it really will allow you to cook large portions of food for any occasion easily. This pan is heavy, and when filled with food is somewhat difficult to manage like you would an ordinary fry pan. Because it is so large when it is filled it becomes like a pot and the stainless steel handles aren't very insulated to heat conduction. You will also want to make sure that you wear cooking gloves when managing the cookware during lengthily cooking session as to prevent from burning yourself. The pan handles didn't get near as hot as the lid handle but they did still get hot. (NOTE: The pan handle is very long, and because of the length of the pan when placing this pan on your stovetop you may need to rotate the handle towards the inside of the stove rather than the outside to prevent people from knocking it over when walking by.) My overall thought is that I love the size, I can cook large portions of food for my entire family without using multiple pans, or waiting to cook portions for individuals. I love the high quality feel of the pan, and I know the pan is definitely worth the value. I've used the pan already for cooking an elaborate meal and I think as long as I keep with the strict care regimen I will be completely satisfied with this pan for years to come. I do recommend and I would definitely buy again. The only thing I didn't like about this pan was the considerable amount of chance for burning myself. I think this is normal with pans though, some things could have been done to prevent extensive chances for burning, like insulating the pan grips and lid grips from heat conduction. Otherwise, A+++ item Great value Excellent quality Exceedingly large capacity Comes with a beautiful lid Stunning craftsmanship and beautiful design Note to manufacturer - you might want to figure out a way to insulate the lid handle from heat conduction. The lid handle gets very hot after a short time. Other companies have figured out ways to do this and I would think that this quality pan, in it's current value market deserve a lid handle that won't burn your fingertips. Read more
We love using this pan for cooking. The size is perfect for doing those one pan meals. We also use it as a replacement for a wok. The pan material is nice an thick and sturdy. The lid that is included fits well and is very sturdy. The handle is very sturdy and makes it easy to pick up and move it around. You will need a hot mitt for the small handle as it will get hot. Some of my issues with this pan may be that it is actually too big for my needs, but I did find it to be less great than all the Amazon Vine reviewers did. For one, it arrived with a pretty strongly warped bottom, bowing upward enough that oil will not stay in the middle of the pan. And it didn't spread the heat from my induction cooktop very well, leaving a hefty chunk of the pan much cooler than the rest. Finally, it got fairly heavily discolored after I used it. I have relatively little experience with stainless steel pans, but the smaller one I bought afterward (Heritage Steel 12") doesn't have any of these problems... but it also cost twice as much. UPDATE: Added a star because Bzayeat offered me a full refund on this pan, which was very generous of them. Read more
