This portable AC has been great so far and honestly feels like a really solid pick. The noise has been totally reasonable for a portable unit, and it hasn’t gotten in the way during workout sessions in the garage. The built‑in heater is a nice bonus for cooler nights since there’s no HVAC out there, but the AC is definitely the main thing and it’s been doing a good job in the few weeks of using it. It is loud but we bought mainly for the heater and I must say it is better than our HVAC system so far. Heats large area quickly and turns off at set temp which we had to lower to 67 because it warmed a little too well. Thermostat seems to be in agreement with the two we have set up to keep tabs on how accurate temperature setting is. Can’t wait to use the A/C next summer to see if performs as well as the heater part. Will probably buy another as two units should keep our home warm for the part of NC we are in. Heat pump doesn’t work. Constantly cycles on and off without ever reaching the desired temperature which doesn’t allow sufficient time to actually heat anything. Read more
