These met all my criteria - solid 14K gold (vs. gold-plated), 3mm wide (not too thin, not too wide), 12mm or 13mm diameter (approx. 1/2" for wiggle room), hinge-snap closure (vs. snap-post), lightweight - so I bought 2 pairs. I wanted some very small gold earrings that I could comfortably shower and sleep in - would never have to take off unless I specifically wanted to wear something else. These are perfect. I shopped around with my ruler and looked carefully at the pictures people posted of the various options I was looking at. Some were too thin in width, and some didn't have enough 'hoop' to comfortably loop around the earlobe, but the measurements on this set looked right, and now that I have them, they are exactly was I was looking for. I was kind of surprised that the closure 'clicks' - for some reason I was expecting a hinge that pulled open and then snapped back closed, but it's fine. I like the way that the back of the earring covers the closure (the reason I needed to buy these is that I lost one of my last pair of tiny hoops when I pulled a shirt over my head and managed to pull the earring out along with it - that can't happen with this design). The only thing I have to worry about is combing my hair and accidentally snagging an earring that way, but as small as they are, it's probably not going to be a huge problem. I have been looking for some time for this size of gold huggies. These earrings are the perfect size and thickness to give that subtle gleam of gold at your ears - very chic. They are well made and close with a reassuring click - comfortable to be worn night and day. I have seen some reviews that say these are too small and for babies - not so, these are huggie style earrings and as the name suggests are supposed to hug your ear lobe! Read more
These are good quality earrings that came exactly as described/pictured. If you are unsure how big 12mm actually is, I recommend checking a mm ruler before you order so you know what to expect. After receiving them, I double checked the specs for myself (as you should do with all jewelry). The earrings in fact measure 12mm from outer edge to edge, 3mm wide, weigh 0.6g each, and my acid test confirmed they are genuine 14k gold. They have a high shine luster, good color, and have a satisfying *snap* when I push them closed that makes me feel like they aren't going anywhere (unless I want them to!). I would recommend these if you are looking for a nice small set of earrings and will order from TWJC again in the future! A little pricey but that's gold for you these days... Read more
I have been looking for a pair of 14k huggy style earrings for quite some time now. The ones I kept seeing everywhere are those really thin fragile ones, but then I finally found these, and they are the perfect size and thickness to wear all the time! They fit perfectly snugly on my ear lobes. One of my ear piercings tends to close up if I don't wear earrings for a long time, so that's why I was looking for these. A pair that i could wear for days and not even feel them. The huggy clasps are so great because you can sleep with them in and there's nothing from the back of the ear poking you. This is a good thickness, so they don't bend and distort as easily as a lot those cheapies out there on the market out there. Read more
This is the second pair of these earrings I've purchased. If you have two piercings, they look great worn together. I've purchased from this seller several times and they are stellar. I had to return the first pair as one of the earrings would not stay closed. No problems with return and I reordered another pair which are perfect. Read more
