I wanted some good quality hoops I could wear 99% of the time without having to remember to take them out; also, sterling silver and most other metals irritated my ears so they needed to be gold but not too terribly expensive. These earrings are the perfect size and quality for me. They aren't too big and dangly. I put them in as soon as I got them and forgot about them. The pair I received are really secure; it actually takes more effort than I anticipated to open them. I have a pair of small 8 mm diameter, 1.5 mm thick hoops for another piercing and those will sometimes unlatch when they get caught in my hair or towel. The 11 mm are secure enough that I don't have to worry about losing them at all but easy enough to pop off when I want to change them out. I ordered the 11mm 14k white gold hoops. These are the perfect size for anyone wanting a small every day hoop earring. I'm really pleased with the quality, especially for the price. These earrings have a nice weight to them since they are 2mm thick 14K white gold. The hinge makes it so easy to put them on and take them off, but it completely disappears while you are wearing them and just looks like a regular hoop. They are both classic and elegant. Love! Love them! I bought a yellow gold pair for my mother as a Christmas gift and loved hers so much I wanted my own pair on white gold! I have small ears and I like smaller hoops more, so I decided to buy the 11mm pair. They sit a few millimeters away from the edge of my ear lobe which is perfect!!! The clasps are perfectly secure-not loose AT ALL! I have purchased sterling silver huggie hoop earrings off of Amazon but they would all be a dark grey/steel color instead of the white/light silver color that I was really wanting and silver is also heavier than gold. These are SO LIGHT I always forget that I have them in!!! Seems like nice quality white gold. Bought for my 16 month old daughter to replace post earrings. They are beautiful, seem like a good quality. Shipping was fast. The only reason I gave them 4 instead of 5 stars is that I'm a little worried about them staying in...the clasping mechanism simply slides in under the top of the hoop (it doesn't really lock into place, which I had been hoping since I was putting them on a baby). The sizing is definitely hard to gauge, so I've included a picture. Update: 6 months later these things haven't budged and haven't cause any sensitivity. Excellent purchase. Definitely recommend.
