These came beautifully packaged, moist and fresh with no sign of Crystallization or desiccation. They smell wonderful and will make delicious pearl tea. I add dark brown sugar to milk and simmer with the split pod to make tea for my little one when she is sick. Beans were large, ranging from 6 inches to almost 8 inches. They we fresh, being nice and soft. I made a fabulous vanilla bean paste with them blasting them in the Vitamix with vodka, cane sugar, and Lyle's Golden syrup. It tastes and smells delicious and made nice gifts for my sisters. Read more

I've ordered "grade A" vanilla beans from three other companies in the last 3 months, and these were such a massive jump in quality over the others. All of the pods were a more uniform size and shape, they were more moist, and each pod has contained substantially more caviar. They have a slightly more floral taste, but it's not unpleasant. This was my first time purchasing vanilla beans, and I was really excited to start making my own vanilla sugar and vanilla extract. Packaging & First Impression: The beans arrived well-packaged, and overall the quantity was accurate. I ordered 30 beans and received the full amount. Quality & Freshness: Most of the beans — especially the ones toward the center — were soft, pliable, and exactly what I was hoping for. However, a few of the beans on the ends were noticeably drier and a bit stiff. They were still usable, but not as fresh as the others, which is why I’m giving this 4 stars instead of 5. Performance (Real Use): I started a batch of vanilla sugar about a week and a half ago, and it’s already doing great — the aroma is developing nicely. I’ll also be using these for homemade vanilla extract. Value: For the price and quantity, this is still a solid option, especially for someone just getting started with vanilla beans. Bottom line: Overall, I’m happy with the purchase.
