This light is nice for high ceilings but it depends on what your preference is. I was debating what lights to use in my garage and tried a few different options. Although nice for high ceilings, this light did not light up my garage as well as the star multi position LED style lights. This has a lot to do with my white ceiling in the garage. This light projects the light down but it does not reflect off of the ceiling like the other style of light. I ended up using this light in my horse barn and it worked well for that purpose. This light is absolutely perfect in a garage. The entire fixture is made of sturdy aluminum (except the lens of course) All you need is a hook or eyelet mounted in the ceiling, preferably in a stud and an outlet. The ceiling hook is not included. The fixture also has an additional safety tether. Ideally the safety tether is attached to something other than your ceiling hook. With your ceiling hook in place, simply hang the light and plug it in. The unit puts out a lot of useful light. One thing to keep in mind before placement: led lamps that are meant for the garage like this one tend to put out a lot of heat. This doesn't make them dangerous, but it doesake them impractical for indoor use as they will quickly increase the temperature of your living space and make it unbearably hot. Read more

I got a few of these to try out for my 40 x 40 pole shed. I bought a few different brands; including this one, but I was a bit surprised when they showed up and they were 100% identical. I was hoping to do a comparison review but it would appear that a few different brands on amazon are buying from the same manufacturer. Same model number on the nameplate and same date codes and everything. Not the end of the world as they are great lights. They install super quickly with just an outlet and a hook in the ceiling. I am going a little more in-depth in my installation and cutting the plug off and wiring them directly into the electrical box. They are 2X-3X brighter than the bright corn cob bulbs I could get at my local big box store and roughly the same price. I will slowly work to replace all 16 lights in my shed with these as my corn cob bulbs all seem to burn out quite frequently. Read more

I have reached the age of 45 and my eyes are not like they used to. It's frustrating not being able to see things and having to have the perfect light. Well This light will save you any frustration (you will still need your readers if you use them) but I swear it's brighter than the sun. My husband hung it and told me to come check it out, he said don't look directly at it and I thought he was being dramatic but he wasn't it is bright and amazing. I can now see again when do projects on our workbench we have. It is a heavy light so you need to screw it in to a stud or some kind of wood. Do NOT just hang from sheetrock. This is a great light, seems to be built very well and is extremely bright. Easy to install in the shop by just plugging it in and using the included hooks and cable. This is how I’ll be using it but there are two wires also that allow direct wiring for dimming. So whatever floats your boat the light is ready to go. It will also be great to not have to get out the ladder to change the giant fluorescent light bulbs. As long as the LEDs lady as stated I shouldn’t need to replace this light and will save enough in a year or two to cover the cost. Great value! Read more

This is a heavy duty light with several safety features to make sure it doesn't fall. The mounting hook has a locking screw and there is a safety cable. The cable makes it easier to hang. mine came with a plug on the end. The light is all metal construction. It's heavy and super bright. I have it hanging in the loft of my barn. This brilliant bright white light is perfect for high bay garages, warehouses, or barns. The higher it is hung the wider the lighted area. It’s has a 5ft cord built in and can be easily turned on or off by plugging it into a remote controlled power outlet which is not included but something I already had. Read more

Lighting up the pole barn just became really easy. The hardest part was getting out the tall ladder. The light has a hanging hook and a safety wire so it will stay in place. I like that I did not have to wire this just plug it in. The brightness is perfect at an installation height of 14ft. I will be purchasing more of this light for other buildings around my property.
