This is the remodeling/temprary light I've always wanted. This light is VERY bright and works good for it purpose, but it really throws heat off, which kinda worries me as other LED's work lights I have purchased haven't had this issue. I was planning on setting this up in my basement, but I think this would be best suited for the garage as the ceiling is much higher. It is a really nice light, for the light output, so worth it. I’m reviewing this Shop UFO LED bay light. This LED shop light is excellent. It replaced a 4-tube fluorescent light. This new light is smaller, much brighter and certainly uses way less power. This light is built with a quality cast aluminum housing that helps to cool the light, not that it got all that warm when I was testing it. It has a built in hook for easy hanging from the shop ceiling. It also includes a safety wire as an added protection from the light accidentally getting knocked and falling of its hook. Customizable… This shop light has a couple of customizable options that sets it apart from other similar styled lights. First has a slide switch for adjusting the power or brightness. The three brightness settings are 75W, 110W, 150W. Second, this LED shop light includes similar switch for adjusting the LED light “color”. The 3-color settings are 3500K (Warmer), 5000K, and 6500K (Whiter). For now I’m setup for 3500K and 75W (energy saving), but when I’m actually working on a project I’ll likely be switching to 5000K at 110W or higher. Another task I’m going to try and use this light for is using it as a portable work light by attaching it to a stand and using for painting, repair projects and more. WOW this is a bright light, and a total steal for the purchase price. It also has adjustable levels and color temperature. PERFECT to light up a dark garage. comes with mounting hardware. Cord is a little short, so you might need to get an extension or have it hardwired. But, you can just plug it in and go. Totally worth it. Read more

I am going to be completely honest here. This shop light is pretty good at being a good work light. I hung this up in my garage and I plugged it into a switch I already had ran. This way I dont have to plug and unplug every time I want to turn it on and off. It is nice to have the brighter light for when you are working and such to a more dim light when you dont need as much light. I will be using it the most in the wintertime when I am out doing my Christmas lights and decorations. I like the way it does emit some heat because that is always a bonus in the cold weather. Right now I dont like the heat that radiates off it but that is because it is over ninety degrees outside. Once I am outside working in the shop this light is going to be great. I’ve been looking forward to receiving this light for quite a while. One of the lights I have in my garage quit working about two years ago and I’ve been trying to find a suitable replacement since then. The thing that made my search difficult was that I like an excessive amount of light so I can see what I’m doing when I am doing it. This 150W UFO LED High Bay Light seemed like it would do the job nicely. It hasn’t been installed yet so I really can’t say what it looks like in a garage setting. Since I don’t have a switched outlet to plug it into, I am going to plug it in to an outlet using a smart plug that uses voice commands as well as input from my mobile telephone. I think this 150W UFO LED High Bay Light is priced really well. Almost all of its direct competitors are more expensive, but there’s always the one guy that has theirs on sale cheaper. In this case, the one guy has his for $29.99 (at the time I’m writing this) with a regular price of $45.99. In all honesty, I have to say I would buy the light from the competitor at $29.99. They have a 4.7 rating in addition to the lower price, and their product seems like it is built better. Instead of using plastic for the hanging hook, the competitor used metal which will last longer. Their light also has a 5 year warranty and puts out 24,000 Lumens. With this light you have to purchase your warranty separately when you buy the light and it only puts out 21,000 Lumens. Although this light may be nice, I cannot recommend it because it isn’t the smart purchase. I recommend you look further on Amazon and compare the other products before making a decision. Read more
