This borosilicate coffee mug is an almost perfectly scaled down baby mini-carafe. The “almost” is bc while the silicone lid does resemble the top of a typical coffeemaker carafe, the central hole is pretty small (steam vent rather than a drip funnel) and is set in a convex dome rather than a concave dip. So while you can brew coffee directly into this mug, I don’t recommend doing it with the lid on. The shape does protect against splashes. My coffeemaker’s “XL” preset was the perfect size, but the glass does have volume markings on one side if you heed to double-check. Also, because it is designed as a mug, there’s no pour spout built into the glass. If you want to use this as a creamer, the lid is secure enough to provide a clean pour-out through the sip hole. If you want to use it as a teapot, don’t leave a teabag string hanging out to disrupt the seal— use a stringless bag or go looseleaf. Or back to its innate muggy goodness, the lid is very secure for sip-through. Like most silicone, it can retain a faint detergent taste from the dishwasher, so you may prefer to hand-wash it. The main mini-carafe didn’t have any dishwasher issues. The handle is just big enough for me to hold with all four fingers, but I have small hands; the more typical user grip would prb be as shown in the listing pic, with three fingers through and the pinky tucked back. (Do not rest your pinky against the side of the cup if your coffee is very hot.) Because of the mini-carafe construction, this mug would work perfectly with one of those mini-hotplate electric cup warmers. Its lack of insulation won’t keep beverages hot for very long by itself compared to earthenware etc. It won’t fit into a car cupholder, but it would be perfect on a table or desk. Read more

My husband loves this mug and thought it was hilarious right out of the box. He says the handle feels great in his hand and that even though the glass gets hot, it doesn’t really bother him. In fact, he thinks that’s part of the charm. The mug has a surprising amount of detail and feels well made for what’s clearly a novelty piece. He also got a kick out of the tiny cleaning brush that comes with it -it somehow makes the whole thing even funnier. Overall, it’s a great novelty for anyone who truly loves coffee or jokes about needing an entire pot to get through the day. I saw these on tiktok for quite a bit more so when I found this one I ordered it. The glass is surprisingly thick which was my biggest concern. I am not worried about it cracking when I fill it with hot coffee or getting bumped around in the cabinet. I had no issues with using it for iced coffee, hot coffee, and espresso. It holds 16 oz and is 4.9 inches tall by 3.8 inches wide as described. It fits underneath my espresso machine which a normal sized coffee cup is too tall to do. It will be hot on the outside when using it for hot coffee so as long as you use the handle and don't grab it by the glass it is fine. It came with a cleaning brush but I have just been putting it in the dishwasher and haven't had any issues. This is a super cute novelty cup for any coffee drinker. Read more

Any coffee lover in the world will appreciate this carafe-shaped coffee cup! It's made very well, and it even has the measurements on the side so you know how many ounces of coffee you're getting. It holds a full 16 ounces, and the lid seals nicely to (mostly) prevent spillage. The glass is thicker than expected, so while this won't keep your coffee hot for hours like an insulated mug will, at least it will keep it hot the same length of time as a regular coffee cup. Maybe a little longer, since the lid will trap most of the heat in. The glass does get hot when it's full of hot coffee, of course, but the handle stays cool to the touch and is comfortable to hold. I had to hide this from the hubby so he wouldn't snag it - I'll definitely be getting another one to give him at Christmas form "Santa" (aka me). 😅 Great gift idea for that special coffee lover in your life - highly recommend! It’s fun, whimsical, and a little bit gimmicky. Pros: It’s dishwasher safe. The volume markings are a nice touch. The handle allows you to hold hot beverages without burning yourself. You can honestly say you drank a whole pot of coffee without having to drink 12 cups of coffee. Cons: It’s the wrong shape for me to drink hot beverages. I have to seemingly tilt it upside down before anything comes out, and then ALL the hot drink comes out. The air opening in the center of the lid is perfectly placed that my nose covers it when I drink. All in all, it’s a fun mug for drinking anything that’s not scalding. I have put water, iced coffee, tea, beer, and a few mixed drinks in it and enjoy all of those. Read more
