This is such a convenient tool. The light actually does work even to some extent on darker nails. I really appreciate that the blades are sharp and make a good clean trim which you can further fine tune with the grinding tool on the other end. Definitely worth having if you've got pups. Read more
Wow this is a great invention! My parrot has learned to fear nail files, and I’m too nervous to use clippers because I’ve nicked him in the past. He has opaque black nails and no way to see the quick unless looking from underneath. Dremels are much too loud and unsafe. If a parrots nails grow out too much, it can cause arthritis over time, and because I ruined the other methods for him, this has been a concern. He has never seen this object before, so I clicker trained him to be comfortable touching it a day or two before actually using it on him. It is thankfully very quiet. The volume of a fly or mosquito. The clipper end is pretty useless for us, it’s much too big, but the grinder is priceless! It works so fast and we turned it into a game. I wouldn’t say he likes it, but he isn’t afraid of it, and his nails are now the appropriate length, so I’m very grateful to have found this product! Read more
For our dog who HATES getting her nails cut, the filing function worked very well. It is quite loud when it hits the nail but you could tell it was less scary and she didnt react as poorly as she usually does. Well worth the cost to save us all the trauma. Haven’t tried the cutting side but it was clearly designed with intention. Read more

I don’t get the LED lighting. It helps view the nail but not the quick. Still the same experience cutting black nails. The dremmel tool however, is a game changer! Read more

Tried to use this on my nailcutting-adverse cat, but the nail clippers themselves were too big and didn’t open far enough. I really like the lights on the end though, since we have to cut our cat’s nails in the dark (when he’s in bed at night with us and most relaxed). All in all, had to return these after trying to use them on him a few times, but am sad it didn’t work out! Read more
