Who would have thought that one could be swooning over a sink strainer haha. But here I am! Yes, there are hundreds of these strainers on Amazon alone. Yes, they look about same in the pictures, but take it from a person who used to own this style of strainer: Not all of them are made exactly the same. Some strainers do not rest super flat in the sink drain, letting some food debris into the drain under the strainer, defeating the purpose. NOT THIS ONE. This strainer stays put so flat and works so well, that NOTHING is getting under it. All the debris flows right into the strainer for you to dispose of at your leisure. Plus, this strainer is just pretty to look at, with all that mirror shine! Will it stay so good looking with constant use? I doubt it, but the construction feels sturdy, and the strainer feels heavy for the size, and I am looking forward to this strainer outliving the sink lol. Stop wasting time looking to save 50 cents, and just buy this set of strainers. Your sink, your plumbing and your sanity will all thank you! Read more

Works perfectly. Great depth, water drain, and easy to use. Material feels great and looks high quality. I prefer these over the grocery store bought ones. Little pieces of food can cling to the drain but easy to wipe off. Read more

OK, I know this is a small, rather insignificant item that is rather self explanatory. However, if you took the time to scroll down for reviews, then I'm guessing you've had bad experiences with sink strainers in the past. The last strainers we had were similar in that they were stainless steel, but the straining portion was similar to what you would find in a flour sieve (sieve is a fancy word for sifter). It worked well enough for a while, but over time the mesh became dented, which led to holes poking through, which led to getting my fingers stabbed by the needle-sharp pieces of metal mesh poking out. Since I am the only person in our household that takes the time to actually clean the strainer, it was me that filling the curse jar. I searched Amazon for a replacement, and discovered the Honmein Sink Strainer you are now considering. A strainer is a strainer I thought. The price was reasonable so I loaded it into my cart and awaited it's arrival. Wow, was I impressed! Gone is the mesh screen design and it its place is a sturdy solid steel device. The package came with two strainers, but honestly I can't imagine this well-made device ever failing. It is my forever strainer. The only way I can ever see the need of replacement is if my lazy son dumps in into the trash. That is unlikely of course, since he has never cleaned the strainer before in his life. But I suppose it could happen. Are you still reading? You must really need a strainer. Well my friend, this is the one for you. Stop searching and drop in into your cart so you too can enjoy the piece of mind that comes with a clog-free sink drain. Read more

These sink strainers work exactly as they should. They fit my kitchen sink perfectly and do a great job catching all the food leftovers without letting anything slip down the drain. The double-layer design feels sturdy and safe to use, and they’re easy to remove and clean after washing dishes. I’ve noticed a big difference in keeping my sink and pipes cleaner. Such a small item, but very helpful for everyday kitchen use! Read more

I picked these up to replace my old sink strainers and was genuinely surprised by the design. Most of these have a wide, flat metal rim that takes up a lot of space, but this model has a much narrower edge. Because the mesh area is larger and goes almost all the way to the perimeter, the drainage is significantly better. I noticed right away that the sink doesn't back up nearly as fast, even when there’s some debris in the basket. The 4.5 inch size fits my standard kitchen drain nicely. It sits completely flush against the bottom of the sink, which is important because it prevents small food scraps from sliding underneath the rim. The construction feels sturdy and the "double-layer" design makes the edges feel smooth and finished. I don't have to worry about any sharp metal burrs catching my fingers or a sponge while I'm cleaning it. It is a simple and inexpensive upgrade, but the increased surface area makes a big difference in how well it functions compared to the basic ones you usually find in stores. It looks clean, works efficiently, and feels like it will last a long time. Read more

My kitchen sinks had the stopper/strainer style inserts, which are what I had in most kitchens my whole life. However, I cannot remember a single time that I wanted to use the stopper feature, and all they ever did was close when I didn't want them to or cause the sink to drain slowly. I finally decided to switch them out for the only thing I wanted: a strainer that prevented food scraps from going down the drain. Wow, what a quality of life improvement! These strainers fit my sink perfectly, look great, and the water actually drains faster through these than through my old stopper/strainers. For some reason, when I would dump a full pot of water that fills the sink faster than it can drain, any caught food in the strainer used to swirl in my sink and then deposit around the sink instead of flowing back to the strainer. With this product, the water flows fast enough to bring everything back to the strainer. Best of all, no surprise plugging of the sinks! I am very happy that I finally bought these. Read more
