I’m genuinely impressed with the MR.SIGA Kitchen Sink Strainers, they’re simple, sturdy, and do their job perfectly! The stainless steel construction feels durable and high-quality, not flimsy like some cheaper alternatives. The fine mesh is dense enough to catch even the smallest food particles without slowing down water drainage, which is exactly what I needed to prevent clogged sinks. Mrs bought a Cuisinart 2-pack of drain strainers that's silicone. As soon as I put them both in the sink, water was backing up. Not sure if it's the silicone or the cheese grater type of holes (angled holes instead of flat, due to being silicone material most likely, not solid) but completely defeated their purpose. (C'mon Cuisinart, they literally serve ONE job and can't do it right.) All that said, THESE drain strainers... the SIGA ones, they're brilliant. Catchability is perfect, resistant to rust that I've seen, and very simple to clean; helps that they're stainless steel--a nice retro-ish look and serves its purpose exactly as expected. Read more

These are indoubtedly the BEST kitchen sink strainers ever. Nothing gets thru but water drains no matter how full the strainer gets. Then just tear off a paper towel...tap strainer onto paper towel & done. Its amazing. One easily sees when strainer has caught things. I caught a small piece of plastic wrap came off something from grocery store. That would've gone down the drain. Highly recommend. Great value. Read more

It sits nice and flat and the holes are smooth, no abrasion. With the small holes and it catches pretty much everything, which means it actually catches a bit too much so when I dump it the wet tiny pieces don't have enough weight to drop into the trash. Those that are left are so small I just rinse them down the drain, no hassle. I use this when I don't need a sink stopper because its easy to keep clean. If you're a germ phob and have a rubber stopper on the bottom of your drain catcher, pull it back and clean it. The one I have develops a nasty film when used daily, maybe other ones fit snug enough to keep water out, but not so for mine. Read more
