The good, the bad and the disappointing.
I am a trailer shuttle driver, I spend 10+ hours a day inside a small truck that sits on top of an engine sweating like it's monsoon season in the Pacific. With that heat in mind my truck goes through a lot, I slap into potholes, bad pavement/gravel and slam into trailers that are too low to get under during normal circumstances. I purchased this fan to supplement the comical A/C system my truck has as well as the beast of a fan that makes me feel like I am Taylor Swift performing at the SoFi. My point is my truck is hot and I wanted this fan to help me not be hot. THE GOOD: Talking about the construction of this fan. It's really well constructed/assembled. It's very quiet, almost too quiet, almost like it isn't running quiet. It does have a rotating dial which you can use to adjust the speed of the fan and that is nice but... I'll get into that in a bit. The fan is smallish so it's good for tight spaces, the frame makes it look much bigger than it actually is. It comes with a small hook that you can use to hang the fan up, this hook is easy to remove and flip to the opposite direction and that makes it easily adjustable depending on where you need to hang it. I used this fan an entire 10 hour shift at the highest airflow setting and it worked the whole time. I was able to use the USB port in the back to charge my phone. This fan takes about 8+ hours to recharge fully after a full battery drain. THE BAD: At the maximum speed setting this fan produces the same airflow as a regular sized oscillating fan on its lowest setting. This means that if you are buying this fan for a strong airflow you will find it lacking in that department. THE DISAPPOINTING: My biggest letdown with this fan was some of the advertising they used to sell it. There are photos of this fan being used outdoors at the beach, outdoors on a fishing trip, outdoors at a party. These photo advertisements led me to believe that this would be a good fan for me to use in my workspace. This is not the fan that is going to give you a fresh blast of air outdoors or in an environment that is wide open. The best use for this fan is in a small setting where you will be sitting still or in the same position for an extended amount of time and will be close to the fan. Examples of this (also advertised) sleeping in bed with this fan on your nightstand pointed directly at you. Camping in a small closed tent, this fan will definitely keep airflow inside a small tent and might help keep you cool at night. At work in your office as a desk fan pointed directly at you (this fan would be great in an office environment, the noise it makes is similar to a light hum and almost goes unnoticed). Again these are small direct in your space uses for this fan. This really is a good fan, it works as expected, it is durable it has a lot of lights so it can also be a backup flashlight maybe but overall if you're looking for a fan that is going to really move some air it might be a good idea to consider something different depending on why you're looking for one.
