Simple bulk floss container. I get tired of buying little ones and running out of floss quickly. I like how thick the floss is for these too. (Note: the floss refills are sold separately!) The container works perfectly. It doesn’t come with anything to help unscrew the opening but you can just grab a coin or anything that will go in the groove to turn it. The wasn’t terrible either. This might be more than you really want to know about dental floss dispensers. But here goes... I always buy dental floss in the big 200 yard rolls. The smaller sizes just get used up too fast. When my last roll ran out, I went online and looked for the best deal I could find, which was from a dental supply house. But the Reach brand floss rolls arrived without the usual plastic containers one finds at the drug store. The cardboard box was marked "refill." So I went back to a dental supply house to purchase this, inexpensive "professional" floss dispenser, which looks like it might last a long time. My recent purchase of 6 floss refill rolls cost about $30 including shipping, which amounted to $5.00 per roll. So, I saved at least $3.50 per roll over the Walmart price of $8.50 each, resulting in a savings of $21 on this order. Subtract about $8.00 for the dispenser, and my net savings was about $13.00. However, this device appears quite sturdy, and it dispenses floss from the side, which seems smoother and more reliable than the usual top-dispensing throw-away dispensers that always seem to jam from time to time. If this dispenser lasts, my next floss order (maybe two or three years from now) would yield the full savings. Read more
Works as advertised and holds the Johnson and Johnson economy sized roll of dental tape - which is sold without a storage case and cutting device. Read more
I was expecting it to be thicker than it was, but it does the job. Expensive! Read more
This works well with the floss. Read more
I am a dental hygienist and I use these all the time at work. But then I decided to buy one for home use so I don't have to keep buying the small floss packs all the time. One roll in this lasts me way longer. However, I will say it opens from a little screw in lid on the top and it doesn't come with an opener. However, I have always been able to find random stuff in my house that'll fit and open it. Read more
Well made just like the dentist uses. Contains a lifetime supply of dental floss... well not really, it's a lot. If you have a large family, it's definitely what's needed. Saves money that the mfg's have to spend on smaller dispensers so your saving money buying product in volume. Geez, wonder if that's why dentists use these ??? Read more
