On a recent trip to the South Pacific, I realized how unprepared I was electronically. The adapter I bought was just that--an adapter, not a converter. I realized this when some of our items began to get hot while charging. We are very lucky we didn't fry them. Further, the countries we visited used different adapters--I only had one. So when I arrived home, I immediately began looking for a replacement. I'm so glad I picked this one! It's light, compact, and has several Type adapters for an array of countries. I can go anywhere! A soft, drawstring carrying bag is also included. I didn't realize until I opened the box that there is a cooling fan, too. The converter seems like it's high quality; it's not heavy, but doesn't seem to be made of cheap plastic, either. I also like that there are multiple charging ports so you (or you and someone else) can simultaneously charge several devices at once. The best part, though, is that there are little illustrations on the outlets, indicating which device should be plugged into which outlet. Voltage converter for dummies--which I very much appreciate because when it comes to this kind of thing, I am clueless. This converter makes it easy. I can't see why you would need any other charging equipment for traveling. The price is fair, especially since you get a converter, which is more expensive than a simple adapter, for several different countries. Read more

Love this little outlet block. So much more useful than a regular extension cord, and I like that it has USB ports built in for easy charging. Small enough to travel with which is an added benefit. Read more

As I am preparing for a trip to an Asian country with my wife within the next three months, I was researching the different electrical standards. I was pleased to discover this voltage converter, which is essential for our travels. The converter's compact and lightweight design makes it easy to carry, and its ability to convert 220V to 110V provides peace of mind, ensuring the safety of our electronic devices, such as phones and hair dryers. With its 4-port USB, 6 adapters, and a 5-foot detachable AC power cord, it offers convenience and versatility. Furthermore, its CE, FCC, and RoHS certifications confirm its safety, quality, and functionality, making it an excellent and reliable travel companion. I am highly satisfied with this converter. Slipping this FOVAL 2000W step-down transformer into my suitcase felt risky at first—could something so compact really handle my bulky hair dryer and curling iron? Turns out, it’s been a total game-changer on every trip. The unit itself is sturdily built, with a solid metal housing that stayed cool even after back-to-back blow-dry sessions. Setting it up couldn’t be simpler: pick the correct input voltage (220 V), plug in the converter, then attach your 110 V device. The four USB ports (including a fast-charge USB-C) let me charge my phone and tablet at once, so I’m never hunting for an extra adapter. In Europe and Asia, I just pop on the little travel plug adapter for the local outlet, and I’m good to go. What really impressed me is its headroom: I safely ran my 1875 W hair dryer at full blast and my flat iron without any hiccups or overheating. The built-in fuse and overload protection gave me peace of mind, too—no buzzing transformers or weird smells. If you pack hair tools on the road and hate juggling multiple converters or worrying about wattage limits, this FOVAL 2000 W step-down unit is exactly what you need. It’s reliable, simple, and powerful enough to keep your high-draw appliances running smoothly from Tokyo to Rome. Read more

My mother had a trip to Europe and needed a travel converter and this converter was just what she needed as it worked really well. The quality is great. It provided consistent charging capability, was compact enough to fit in a suitcase but it is a little bulky. It comes with a number of different plugs to accommodate different outlet charging needs. The FOVAL travel voltage converter is a convenient way to bring your own hair styling tools abroad, and it works great to power my mini curling iron and my husband's electric shaver. I was able to use my curling iron on medium heat, and the converter had no issues charging our electronics. This converter is very easy to use and a must-have for traveling internationally. Read more

This is an ok product overall. It's small size and number of outlets is best suited for one person's daily electronic use (might be too small for any professional-level hobbies or more than one person). The 2000W outlet is unusable (for any hairdryer or electronic) when you're plugged into a 110V outlet (ie into most plugs in the USA), but it does work with a 220V source. The two other outlets work with most other electronics or hair dryers (at low setting). The voltage converter can only be used when you press the power button and turn it on. You can store it either in the cardboard box or the gray drawstring bag that it came with, and it can be unplugged to be neatly packed into a rectangular space. Read more
