I’ve tried plenty of sets before, but these are easily my new favorites for lower body days. The fabric feels high-quality and thick, providing great durability even when I'm really pushing it. What I love most is the slip resistance; they stay exactly where you want them on your thighs without sliding around or rolling up mid-set. Having three different levels of stretchability makes it simple to swap intensities depending on the move, and the workout effectiveness is definitely there, I felt the burn immediately. Plus, the color variety is a nice touch since the greens look great together. Overall, they’re just really well-made tools that do exactly what they’re supposed to do. Read more
I did some physical therapy a year ago where they gave me some stretchy latex-style bands. I hate the way those feel, so I was excited when I came across some fabric-style resistance bands. After using those for several months, I decided to get this Basilus three band set because the bands are slightly wider. What I like: * The wider bands do not roll/fold over like my thinner set does when using in certain positions. * The bands seem very durable and the resistance is great. I do not have any concerns about them snapping. * The price (less than $18 at the time of this review) is great for the quality. * They feel comfortable while using. * They come with a bag and small instruction page with some sample exercises. Great for doing exercises while traveling. * Fabric bands are just a lot easier for me to use than the latex bands. Something to consider: * They do not say on the bands what the resistance is. You need to know that the lighter color = lighter resistance. Read more
This is a review for "Resistance Bands for Women & Men, Exercise Bands for Lower Body Workouts, 3-Pack Fabric & Durable Elastic Bands for Strength Training, Fitness, Pilates & Yoga - Mesh Bag & Exercise Guide Included" We have been trying to improve our fitness level at my house, so we're collecting a little bit of home fitness equipment. These resistance bands are a great value, and take up minimal space, while offering different degrees of challenge to users. The colors of the items are as shown in the product photos. The texture of the elastic bands is pleasant, and they seem to be very durable, thick elastic, like they should last for quite a while. Each band has a different amount of resistance, so you have choices when using them to supplement your workout. I think they are most useful for placing both knees or ankles, or wrists inside the loop, and then moving limbs apart to experience resistance against the elastic. These are not as versatile as small dumbells, but they increase resistance for exercises such as leg lifts. If you position your body carefully and use these for leg lifts, you can also increase resistance for core muscle exercises. One feature that I especially like about these bands is that they are very travel friendly. If you are used to having a workout routine at home, these resistance bands are a simple piece of equipment which can easily slip into a suitcase, for a very portable, lightweight solution to maintaining some level of fitness routine while travelling. These fabric hip resistance bands are very pretty and would make an excellent gift or splurge for yourself. The light, medium, dark green tones are a welcome change from the multitude of boring grey or loud pink options (sorry, B!). The set of bands arrives in a lovely box, and thankfully the Amazon stocking labels seem to come off cleanly, if you want give the set as a gift. The bands are both pretty and pretty comfortable in use. The construction seems top notch with excellent stitching and a great finish on the inside seam that minimizes irritation. The resistance levels seem intuitive with the lighter green being the lighter resistance, etc. The included printed exercise guide is also pretty, though not particularly informative. The mesh bag is a simple black, yet seems just about perfect for storing and airing the bands between workouts. While the "BASILUS" labels on the bag and each band all seem kinda big, they still look good and well, classier than most alternatives. Read more
These are really nice, having upgraded to these from years of using the regular brightly colored elastic bands that seem to wear out and not retain resistance over heavy use; these seem different and much better designed and built. I love the colors of these, and the thickness and texture of the bands is really pleasing to look at and use. People ask me where I got these all the time when they're using the regular primary color rubber bands because these just have a nicer aesthetic to them. If you've never used bands before, the workout effectiveness is good especially for small spaces and for travel since even if you have bigger workout equipment, this lets you perform a lot of exercises in more ranges of motion than conventional workout equipment allows you to. Highly recommend these. Read more
There was a nice noticeable difference of tension between these three bands. Thick and durable, I found the bands comfortable to work with, well as comfortable as I can feel when my thighs are shaking from working. The loosest band was what I consider to be beginner resistance level and perfect for me. Looking forward to progressing up a band in a few months. Love love love that these bands are not in the usual primary color array. The suite of shades of green is lovely. Read more
