I love the fresh smell of bamboo. Very earthy and a sustainable wood product. I ordered two of them. The quality of these racks is high. Nice finish, tight tolerances with no wiggle or slop. I like the color. It coordinates with our closet doors and other wood in the rooms. Assembly was a breeze. Easy and done in no time. The shelves have hinges at their centers, so they could fold for shipping. At first, I thought the hinges were binding up and would not allow the shelves to lay completely flat. But as soon as I completed the assembly and put shoes on them, the racks straightened out nicely. No problem there. I really like the size of these shelves. I had thought about ordering longer shelves, but ultimately this size gives me more storage options. IF I need more shelf space, I can always order more of these. Very easy to assemble this shoe rack. The size is perfect if you want to leave it outside in the front door.
