This evaporative cooler cools my 200 sq ft living room in minutes without cranking the AC. The 120° oscillation spreads that cool breeze evenly, and I love having a 12-hour timer so it shuts off while I sleep. Touch controls are intuitive, and the remote is a handy bonus. The 4.2-gallon reservoir lasts several hours on the highest setting. Definitely knocked off at least 10 °F in our hottest corner—game changer! Read more

We have an issue where the downstairs gets extremely cold with the central A/C, but the upstairs stays warm. The thermostat is upstairs, so the A/C runs almost constantly during the hot Summer months. The house is 1,400 sq ft. I decided to try this swamp unit to balance the floors and give the central air a little break. It seems to have helped. I only run it during the hottest time of the day - between noon and 6. The swamp cooler does work, albeit with some pitfalls. It's really big and bulky. You should make sure to clean and dry the unit frequently to avoid mold growth. Even leaving a small amount of water in it can be problematic. The noise level isn't too bad, but definitely noticeable. As for the positives, it does cool the air while circulating and keeps a room from feeling stuffy and stagnant. Although large, the cooler is mobile and can be stored away if you have some extra space, unlike a window unit. Overall, I think this is a good deal if you have a specific need for small area cooling. Read more

I recently purchased an evaporative cooler to help combat the dry summer heat, and I have to say I'm impressed. If you're looking for an affordable and energy-efficient alternative to traditional air conditioning, an evaporative cooler is a solid option. Read more

I ordered this to help cool down our dogs who are in the garage when we leave. Normally it is cool enough in the garage but it has been so much hotter the last couple months that the AC is not cooling down the garage enough. It is important to not expect this to cool like an AC but does still help. This also uses less electric than a standard AC. I like that it also has a sway function to help fan a wider area. Read more

This swamp cooler is very helpful for making my room cooler. It has 1800 CFM for air flow and a 4.2 gallon tank for water. It can oscillate 120 degrees to spread cool air, and has a 12 hour timer. I can control it with the remote or touch controls. It is portable, so I can use it inside or outside. I like the ivory white color, very nice. It seems sturdy and durable. I like it more than an AC, since it’s more quiet, especially at night. Overall, it is a great cooler and full functional! Read more

Got this for our gym and it definitely blows colder air than a fan. If you think this is going to be like an AC unit, then don't, but the positive compared to portable AC is that it doesn't have the hot air exhaust hose that you have to deal with. I was surprised how much water this thing takes and was glad they included 4 of the ice packs. It helps but not absolutely necessary to include the ice packs. The remote and timer function is nice too. Overall, it does cool the room down and is nice and will be even nicer once it's summer. It's portable enough to bring in the garage or patio. Read more

I ordered this back in February 25 and it's taken me a while to get it ready to use because I've been waiting for the warm weather to test it. Today I'm happy to report we had our first 90° day and I took this thing out for a test drive. I unboxed it filled it with water plugged it in and let it go. I'm happy to report it worked really well partly because I live in Nevada and it's very dry here and the amount of cooling you get depends on the amount of humidity in the air. The less humidity the more evaporation and better cooling efficiency. Maintenance is easy - just fill the water reservoir every so often....use some bleach to keep it clean. This probably would not work well in the Deep South where it's humid during the summer but if you have a drier climate this is a perfect solution that costs very little to operate. I'm glad I have it. Read more

This is my 2nd swamp cooler and I like the slim, tall design of this. Works well but don't expect it to replace AC by any means. We use this on our patio during really hot days to help cool us down a bit better than a fan. I try to use super cold water in addition to the ice packs for maximum effect. Read more
