I bought this pillow to use after sinus surgery when I needed to keep my head elevated. It worked perfectly—firm enough to keep me propped up, but soft enough that it didn’t bother my back. I had tried a more expensive wedge pillow (two to three times the price) and it was so hard I couldn’t even lie on it comfortably, so this one was a huge improvement. Ordered this Wedge Pillow 3 pieces after looking at reviews of other similar styles and reviewed all of the videos for this particular item and took a chance and I’m so glad I did. It’s really not separate three pieces, more like a foldable one large piece that is attached and I long head rest piece, but those are semantics in the wording. The item came packaged very nicely. Dare I say compressed to the point I can’t believe they got all the bulky parts in one box. Once opened, I inspected the items to make sure all the pieces were movable and compared them to the videos and everything checked out. The small card insert was not instructions to the pillow, but listed what came inside the box and instructions on how to air it out. It would have been nice to give a breakdown to the basics of how to move the pieces and give some ideas, but that’s why they rely on user reviews I guess. This product did smell with an odor, however it wasn’t nauseating. It smelled like musty old gym socks compressed in a warehouse storage facility type of smell. If you lay out the item to air out for 2-3 days the smell disappears. I also Febreezed this bad boy and let it air for another day for a total of three days and the smell was non existent. PLEASE WASH THE OUTER COVERINGS. DO NOT JUST SLEEP ON IT RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX. I always wash things first so highly recommend it. It unzips easily and you can throw it in the wash with your regular load of clothes. So. Or bleach. The hardest part is trying to fit it back on over the memory foam. I recommend taking pictures or video of how you took it off and then replay on how to put it back on. It is not that simple as one would think. Its construction is lightweight for portability. The side pockets are neat to place a cellphone or small book or even your tv remote while sitting up in bed. It does take a bit of time to play around with which angles or comfort level you want, but boy does it sure have a lot of ways to have fun with it. I use it primarily as a head rest while sitting up in bed or couch and also laying down. I have not used it for the leg position yet, but it is very comfortable and very supportive for the neck and the back. I do feel more adjusted and not slouching after sitting with this pillow. The pillow is as advertised. I expected it to be a little softer. It is quite firm and will take some getting used to. Six nights is not enough time to adequately judge. But I slip down the surface and often find myself farther down the 30 degree incline than I want to be. The neck pillow is not at all comfortable, so I use my own bolster. The neck pillow works great under your knees though. It is a neat gadget, the way that it flips around to a steeper angle. I might find it most useful if I find myself with a bout of bronchitis when I like to sleep upright. Don't touch the velcro to the fabric...it will shred it! Oops, learned that the hard way! Zip off cover may come into play later. I don't know where I would store it, if I took it off the bed. It is quite large and quite bulky. Good luck! Try it for yourself! Read more

Okay I will admit I was super skeptical but this is legit if you are recovering from a surgery. I just had a laparoscopic myomectomy (uterine fibroid removal). I had no idea how uncomfortable sleeping or sitting was going to be or how hard it would be to get up not using my core would be. This is very helpful for lifting you up and helping you and your caretaker. I had an extremely hard first 2 nights of sleep that I really barely slept, this was a savior, I am not a back sleeper and my back was in terrible pain, my regular pillow was just not supportive enough and I couldn’t sleep longer than an hour before needing to get out of bed which not only ruins your sleep but whom ever has to help you get out of bed. Last night day 3 post op and I was finally able to sleep through most the night (would have been entire but I had to wake up for a pill). Highly recommend this to anyone having surgery. Also works well on my couch, my surgery is rough to sit on anything but this supporting my back and stomach is very helpful. Read more

A great purchase for keeping me upright after my surgery. It helped me to feel comfortable and allow my dreams to drain properly. I used this item in addition to a pregnancy pillow and two pillows under my arms so that I would not roll over onto my chest in the middle of the night. I will definitely be using this after my recovery just for sitting up in bed Some did not have the additional half round pillow at the top. That is the best part because it’s an actual pillow for my head. Without it, I would be too flat and adding my own pillow, made my neck uncomfortable. Read more
