At first wear I thought they were way too big. But fold the waist 2x and it's perfect. Great air cooling and no chafing on 3 hour long runs in summer heat. I've worn these as base layer and as the only layer. The bulge is going to be visible but dark black and blue are most discrete and won't show the sweat area. I wish they had more sizing options. Maybe I should have gone down to S at 160lb, 6'0. They don't do a lot of "compression" per se, but do the job of preventing chafing. Read more
