I've battled with the photo cell sockets for years trying to find one that works like it should. My light in in a lamp post so many times reflection from the enclosure prevents the light from coming on. When I saw these bulbs, I decided to give them a try based on the reviews. So glad I did. Since the first one got installed, it comes on as it gets dark and goes off as the sun comes up. I hope this bulb lasts a long time nut I have the other three in reserve if needed. We have used these bulbs for several months now and they work perfectly well and do what they were designed to do--turn on at dusk and off at dawn! Love that I never have to worry about my porch lights being off when I return home in the evening. They were easy to install (just remove the old bulb and screw in this new one!)
