If you drive a newer Tacoma and want a dash cam that blends in without looking like an obvious add-on, this one nails it. It installs cleanly up by the rearview mirror and actually looks like it came from the factory. I’ve been using it for a couple weeks now and the video quality is excellent. You get full 4K on the front camera and it picks up license plates and road signs clearly both day and night. The night vision performance is much better than expected, giving a clear image even in low light or unlit roads. The built-in functionality is solid with loop recording, G-sensor for impact events and a reliable WiFi connection for viewing clips in the app. You don’t need to constantly manage it either because it powers on and starts recording every time the engine starts. Durability feels good too, the mount is sturdy and it doesn’t rattle or sag (which was a main conern). The included 128GB card is a nice touch and saves you from buying one separately. Value for money is actually fair considering you’re getting high-end quality with a factory-style fit. Just note it does not have parking mode, so it’s mostly meant for while the vehicle is running. My husband accidentally messed up the other dash cam in our Tacoma so as soon as I saw this when I had to scoop it up for us. This came very well packed and secured and everything was exactly as described in the ad. Nothing was missing or damaged from delivery and it was exactly as described to be even down to the measurements. Just be sure you go over all the specs ahead of time to make sure that it is compatible with your vehicle and as long as you do that everything fits exactly as it should connect and works nicely! The view angle on this is amazing I like how it's up higher than your typical dash cam I feel like you get a wider range of vision. The picture quality is excellent and even the night vision on the camera works perfect. Very simple and straightforward to get installed and set up if you know what you are doing. My husband owns a car lot / mechanic shop so he is a pro with installing stuff like this and it took him no time. He said it was a simple and straightforward installation if you know what you are doing. If you are unfamiliar I'm sure you could hire a professional to do it for you. I recently installed this Dash Camin my vehicle and I’m really pleased with how well it works. The 4K front camera offers crisp, clear video quality and the rear 1080p unit gives full coverage of both sides of the car. The video clarity, especially at night, stood out as better than many older models I’ve used. Although not quite as nice as something with a dedicated modern starvis sensor so keep that in mind. This is meant to more be a good drop in to match your vehicle's existing trim. That being said, it's a good value for the cost, as you can spend easily 3-4 times as much for a less integrated solution. The unit came with the necessary mount and wiring to integrate into a standard car setup. The only thing I am not really sure about right now is the night time camera quality, for the price. I did run into some issues when trying to use Android Auto and also connect to the Camera app. I had to forget my phone from the vehicle. I love the way this is camera install looks built into the cover. The connectors for the camera/gps do require a little force to get them to snap into place (kind of a quick disconnect, which is really cool). There is an additional wiring harness in the event you wanted to use the parking feature (direct connect to vehicle battery/fuse box). I just used the power from the mirror area with the provided adapter cable. One thing to note is the microSD doesn't work with Windows. I had to use my Chromebook to access the card directly. Most of this can be done through the app. The camera, she will speak to you with a Mandarin accent. The first image is from the front camera, the back camera quality is definitely less than the front camera. Two cameras with a 128GB memory card, and I couldn't figure out how to switch the app from kilometers/hr to mph, seems the camera quality and app could be improved to justify the $250 USD price.
