I ordered this tissue box holder because I love things that are made out of natural materials when they're well done. In real life the overlapping inlaid natural iridescent shell design is very attractive although there are a couple of issues with the construction because the bottom edges got banged up before it was even put into the shipping box, presumably during the manufacturing process so the bottom corners are noticeably banged up. You can see the wood underneath where the corners are banged up which is high contrast to the white of the tissue box holder. I'll try to cover the exposed wood with some white paint to make the damaged corners less obvious. Also on the top, there was a dark fleck of dirt that got covered with lacquer so it's permanently embedded in the Shell design and because it's a black spot against the white background, it's very noticeable and stands out against the all white top. These are the little things that would have been easy to avoid during the construction process with a little closer attention to detail. Considering it's a $26 tissue box, the attention to Quality doesn't correlate with the cost. But other than those minor issues it is very pretty and the natural shell design and the beauty of the iridescent nature of the mother of pearl is very attractive and would work well in a wide variety of Decor settings. This is a descent tissue box. The outside looks good and has a unique textured look. It fits a tissue box perfectly and covers up the ugly tissue box designs. It lays flat on the counter. Due to the sliding bottom design it securely holds the tissue box even if tipped over. It both functions well and looks good. Read more

It’s pretty but seems fragile. It arrived in an envelope so maybe that’s why a corner piece was broken off. I’m not going to return it since I don’t think it’s a seller issue. I’ll glue it together. Read more

I never know what to expect when ordering items like this online. Sometimes they are really light weight and cheap. This one has some nice heft to it, enough so that I can have it sideways on a shelf and you're still able to pull tissues without it being pulled off entirely. The shell finish is elegant and looks a lot more expensive than it really is. The box itself has a bottom to it that slides into place, making it easy to grab the whole thing if someone needs it in another room with out the case and tissue box coming apart. I'd originally been looking for a marble or marble look cover, but this is a nice alternative. Also, the standard cube tissue boxes fit perfectly! Read more
