Needed to replace dryer vent
Other vent, which wasn't very old, needed replaced. We had bought a new dryer 3-4 yrs back and the dryer vent recommended for it was an extremely tight fit. It was 4.5 diameter and both areas it needed to connect to, were slightly larger. Forcing and warping it to fit was a pain. It kept popping loose and ended up with a few small holes. Decided I needed to replace and fine one slightly larger. This one, size wise, was perfect. I got the 5 diameter size and it fits and secures perfectly. It's so annoying local store sell 4.5 diameter 6, and 8 but not 5. I would understand if newer dryers might of changed the size on the back but that's not the case. Dryer we bought is some fancy model and brand and it's new yet the opening on the back side is larger than 4.5 . The house I have lived in is old and the opening to attach the dryer vent too is also larger than 4.5 . Feel like the local stores not selling anything larger than 4.5 or below 6 is intentional. Glad I was able to find it here Not to mention it has also helped with my stuff drying. Other one we bought was thicker and firmer material. I would have to do 5-6 rounds to dry large loads. With this one is takes 2 rounds if stuff gets bunched up. So far haven't had any issue with it now thst i can do laundry again. Only thing I do not like is the material feels a bit thin and would be easy to puncture if not careful. Feels like foil. Wanted one that looked of thicker quality but only ones I saw of 5 diameter had other issues. Happy to have my dryer running again. Read more

Exactly what I was looking for
Exactly what I was looking for. I needed a 5” hose because the standard 4” hose kept tearing and I was fed up dealing with it. Lowe’s and Home Depot never had the 5” in stock so I ordered it here from Amazon and it fit perfectly. There was ONE small tear that occurred when I was trying to clamp it down but it shouldn’t affect performance at all. Great price, too! Read more
