The included remote control makes it convenient to adjust the speed or turn the light on/off without having to get up. Installation Tips: Turn off the power first! It sounds obvious, but it’s easy to forget. Always flip the breaker before starting. Check your ceiling box. Make sure the electrical box is rated for ceiling fans, not just light fixtures. Fan-rated boxes are sturdier and prevent wobbling. Assemble on the floor first. Putting together the blades and motor housing on the ground saves a lot of frustration compared to doing it on a ladder. Use a helper if possible. Having a second set of hands to hold the fan while you connect the wires makes the job much easier and safer. Balance the blades. If the fan wobbles, use the balancing kit included in the box (tiny weights that attach to the blades). It really works. Needed to replace my old ceiling fan which I had to climb up a ladder to change the direction flow. This new fan is simple, quiet, modern and stylish. Although the installation booklet was not that great, the installation video on Amazon made up for it. The fan was easy to assemble and install. The fan is very light compared to my old fan. Since I have a cathedral ceiling it is difficult to access the ceiling fan which makes the remote control very handy. I also like the different light options, daylight and warm settings. So far so good. It has beautiful blades that are whisper quiet and moves a lot of air nicely. The white fan blends in well with the ceiling. The size is perfect for my livingroom. It changes speed with no sounds except for the sound of wind. The light works very well and changes hues easily. I had a switch for the light and one for the fan in my room. I turned the fan switch off, removed the upper screw and installed the remote holder with that screw back into the switch plate. No extra holes. It works the same with the leviton switches also. My negative comments would be to make sure the wire harness was long enough for a 24" downrod if needed. Also the wires are very little and fine to work with. I was very careful not to pull on them too much or bend them excessively. I hope they hold up. Read more

I would give this fan 4.5 stars. There are a few downfalls but overall it's a good fan for it's price. Assembly is like most other fans I've installed except when installing the blades. There is a big metal ring that acts like a giant washer when screwing the blades in. The diagram points to it saying it is important but the image already has the ring installed, so it looks like it is pointing to the screw on the blade. The only thing I wish this fan would do is remember that last setting when switching the power off. Each time you power it on using your wall switch, it defaults to turning on the light. Besides this issue, it is a nice looking fan the functions very well. There is one review on here I saw complaining that the fan looks nothing like the picture. It is because the user installed the fan blades upside down. One of the reason I gave this review 5 stars to make up for the incorrect review. Read more

Hired a professional electrician to hang this fan up for us in our house remodel - he said the fan was extremely cheaply made and all wires and parts were the about the worst quality he’s ever seen. He hung it anyways (at our direction) and shockingly enough …..it didn’t work. When I reached out to Amazon they created a return for me but then after having the electrician remove the fan and boxing it back up and returning to UPS, I was charged a re-stocking fee of around $38 and notified that if it is not received back in brand new/unused condition my entire refund ($151 less re-stocking fee) would be re-charged. Would not suggest gambling your money away on this cheap fan when it’s being sold by a seller who won’t even stand behind their product. Would give zero stars if that was an option Read more
