A tad challenging but worth it!
The flat bottom is a little more tricky to figure out than a regular portafilter but once you get the hang of it through trial and error it’s pretty neat! It’s very satisfying to watch the shot pull, and easier to tell if it’s a good one. I like that the handle is weighted and it feels solid/expensive. It pairs great with my Breville espresso machine and fits the alternate liners I had for the original portafilter. The flat bottom makes tamping evenly much easier too! Just be careful to not over tamp or under do it… if there’s not enough pressure your shot will spray everywhere while pulling!! (I learned that the hard way). Read more
