These are what they claim to be. Extra large "cotton" swabs (I cannot verify that the absorbent material is actually cotton) on a roughly six-inch long wooden stick. That's what I needed, and they work great. Read more
For gentle cleaning of dogs ear these probably will work suit your needs. Ordered them for cleaning hard to reach areas of small mechanical parts where I find the cotton bulbs pull off and the stick break with mild pressure. The first order made shipped to a different address but Amazon rectified the issue in short order and I received a replacement order not long after.
