I love this tripod! It is easy to set up and make the height you want, and it comes with a light to attach as well that changes to different colors as you prefer. It appears to be pretty stable so far, standing up well, and it’s nice that it can swivel to hold your phone at different angles. I have not yet used the part that allows you to use the remote to snap a photo, because I didn’t even realize it did that and it wasn’t a feature I ordered it for, but the remote charged up easily and seems like a cool feature! This is my first selfie stick so I'll just throw that out there. My purpose for ordering this one was more from the standpoint of finding an easier way to take family group photos, other than balancing the phone on some precarious perch and hoping to get everyone scrambled into place before the delay timer went off on the camera, which has proved more useful in generating comedic shots than anything actually useable! I waited to review this until I had a chance to travel with it and take actual photos. I must say, I have been very pleased with it overall. It's fairly lightweight, for something the size of a medium umbrella. I wouldn't plan on walking around with it in hand but it would fit nicely in a typical backpack or large tote bag. The instructions were a bit sparse and it took a minute to figure out how to open the tripod but bumping it gently on the floor works. Extending the shaft requires a strong tug but it extends about four feet. I like that the phone mount is very maneuverable for holding your phone in different orientations. It holds it very securely. The included light for the top of the stand was another bit of mystery. I had a hard time getting it to slide into the slot on the top of the stand at first. After charging it initially, I didn't think it was working. It turns out that you have to hold the button on top down for a couple of seconds to turn it on or off, instead of just clicking the button. After that you can click away through 9 different lighting settings for neutral, warm and cool lighting in different intensities. Having the Bluetooth remote control, which conveniently stows magnetically in the base, was a game changer. We actually got to compose family photos without having someone rushing into the shot. The fact that most of the photos were still comedic had more to do with the hopelessly goofy subjects than the photo setup, which is progress! I am at least now somewhat optimistic that a decent, presentable family photo is achievable...perhaps with some maturity and maybe medication! At least we can say that the selfie stick did all it possibly could to help the situation so that's a win! Read more

This is a sturdy, yet lightweight tripod. It collapses into an oblong shape that easily fits into medium to large sized tote bags, and without any parts that poke out to catch on objects in your bag. It comes with a bluetooth remote for snapping the shutter on your cell phone so the photographer can easily be in the photo without the need for a timer. I love that the remote attaches magnetically into a special groove on one of the tripod legs, making it more difficult to misplace than one that does not attach to the tripod. It also comes with a wrist strap that can be attached to the remote which can also help prevent it getting misplaced or dropped. One of the other things I really like about this tripod is how easy it is to open up. Just hold it a few inches above a hard surface, drop it straight down, and the legs pop out. Just lock them in place and pull up the center telescoping rod, attach your phone into the clip and you're all set. You phone can easily be tilted from landscape to portrait position as well ast tilted forward or backwards to get just the right angle. My phone felt very secure in the clip and I had no concern that it would fall out or cause the tripod to be too top-heavy to stay upright. Finally, I love that this tripod comes with a light that can be inserted to the top of the phone clip if you need additional light for the subject being photographed/filmed. The light has several different brightness settings and the front helps to diffuse the light so it doesn't cause a lot of glare on the subject. Both the remote control and the light are rechargeable with a USB-C port, and a USB-A to USB-C cable is included in the box. I wish the tripod came with a drawstring case or something to carry the tripod and detachable light, but this isn't a deal breaker, and I do highly recommend this tripod. Read more
