I am not a chef and I'm not a brand snob so I will be speaking on my experience with knife sets as a civilian, so keep that in mind. This Musifan set doesn't take up a lot of counters pace compared to my farber set. The knives stick in vertically as opposed to farber's angled approach. I dont have a ton of counters pace to lose so that's a good thing for me. They look pretty elegant up there all bug and tall. I like the colors. I've never had a knife that wasn't steel. These have white blades. Or more like cream. With speckles. The bottom of the block has non slip surfaces to keep it in place. The block itself is a plastic material that feels light as a feather. Which also makes me think cheap. Same with the handles of the blades. They are a light plastic material. After using the same knives my whole life it feels abnormal but I think I could adjust. The block has some wiggle room, you can put any of the larger knives in any slot you wish, same with the smaller slots. So if you prefer your bread knife to the left, you can do so, etc. The blades seem of good quality. I made a soup yesterday and used the chopping knife a lot and I have to say it was extremely comfortable, quick, efficient, and deadly sharp. I haven't had them long enough to judge how well they will hold up to time and repeated washing but I will update if any rust or other major developments occur. Until then, if you don't mind a cheaper plastic handle, the blade performance and counterspace saving features are enough to recommend. Read more

If you like sleek, modern kitchen implements, these knives are for you. I love that they aren't white! They're more eggshell and have a speckled look to the blade, which gave me pause at first, but they are actually very nice looking. I would say the plastic handle is a bit off-putting-I wish the handle had a heavier feel to it, but they cut well and hold well in my hand, so I guess they work! I'm torn on the knife holder. I like that it's nonslip for my granite countertops, but it looks a bit lowbrow. It's definitely plastic. Like, make it black stainless or something. People will pay for that! But otherwise, they take up very little space, there is a great assortment of knives and honestly, I've gifted a few sets of these already to family. Read more

Musifan makes wonderful products. Just about every product I have tried I knew my husband would like it because of its unique appeal. As soon as they arrived, I opened the box, pulled out the knife block and began placing them into their slots. They’re very lightweight compared to my other knife sets. What I really love about them is they’re white, the handle and the blades are all white; being that they’re stainless steel, I do wonder what makes the blades white. They’re very sharp, even the scissors are sharp and great in the kitchen. I used them to help cut up a whole chicken for my gumbo a couple weeks ago. With the block being black & white, it can easily match many different decor colors. If you are looking for a nice set of knives, whether for yourself or a gift, I would suggest this set. Amazon invited me to review this as part of the Vine program. I like good knives. These are not those knives. Hollow plastic handles and thin blades have got to be an advantage for some applications. I know, we can put these knives in the dishwasher! I never put knives in the dishwasher--both dangerous and ineffective. They come sharp, which is good, because these think knives certainly won't cut anything unless they're sharp. They do look cheap, as does the hollow plastic knife block with which they come. Since they are stainless steel, I find it unlikely the painted surfaces will add any rust resistance. And I think they will be very durable, as long as they are not used or sharpened. I can see these being very useful, for instance, if you want to use them for a week on vacation, or place them in a location where you are worried about theft. For now, I'm going to take my risks and stick with some more expensive knives, even though these are described as both elegant and equipped with an exquisite knife holder. This knife set is perfect for a small apartment or couple. It comes with 6 knives and the block. The knives are white ceramic and stay pretty sharp with daily use. I wouldn't use this for a bigger kitchen that cooks for many people but for an older couple they work fine. The light color seems to catch a lot of dust but doesn't affect use. I gave these 5 Stars. This is a great basic set. It has a great variety of sizes and works well for daily simple cooking for an older couple. The scissors have come in handy as well. The only thing is there are no steak knives but when you get older you don't seem to be eating much steak anyway. The set is a good value for the money and just the right size for a small household.
