Great until someone stole it.
Pretty cut and dry review here. It worked well for a quick sharpen but will never outperform a electric sharpener. I mostly used this as a final touch or just to maintain the blade after each use, until it got stolen, of course. Read more
as good as my old one, I love it
Nothing is worse than a dull knife when you're in the middle of a meal prep. This keeps my knives sharp as can be and ready to go quickly and easily or gives them a quick touch up. I want my knives sharp enough to shave the hair off my arm. Anything else can cause an injury by over-compensating with pressure. My son gave me my first one but I wore it out si I replaced it with this one. So far, so good. Read more
Sharpens to 25 degrees or higher
While this sharpener is made well, easy to use and puts a nice quick edge on a knife, one thing I could not determine from the description details is the edge angle it will put on a knife. While I cannot be precisely sure of the edge angle, it seems to be 25 degrees or higher. That would not be a good angle for kitchen knives which should be in the range of 17 to 20 degrees. The details should include the angle it is set to, which is why I rated this only three stars. But if you're looking for something that sharpens to a larger angle, then this is a great sharpener.
