While I cannot be precisely sure of the edge angle, it seems to be 25 degrees or higher. That would not be a good angle for kitchen knives which should be in the range of 17 to 20 degrees. The details should include the angle it is set to, which is why I rated this only three stars. But if you're looking for something that sharpens to a larger angle, then this is a great sharpener.
