Awesome player for someone without the Smartphone connection. You can easily password protect and effectively remove apps and the Play Store, while keeping the ability to use the password to access. We were going to use with Amazon music but ran into an Amazon issue requiring a unique cell phone number. Switched to Spotify family instead and it works great. Set up a kids profile and 10 year old loves it. Blue tooth works fine with wireless headphones, and battery life is good. Highly recommend! Read more
I wanted a basic item that would play Spotify but I could lock down not to do anything else so I can listen to Spotify during work without getting distracted and this technically fit the bill with all the parental lockdown stuff but it was very very slow Read more
I bought this for my oldest daughter for Christmas. My daughter is special needs and this is so easy for her to use. I can put child locks on it and have no fear of her doing a factory reset. Definitely worth the purchase Read more
Was very excited for this for my kids who love music but the moment my daughter accidentally deleted an app, it went downhill from there. The very thing I bought this for (to listen to music) can’t be done because no matter what I do we can’t redownload the app. Tried talking to Amazon but that was no help because there is no easy way to get ahold of this seller. SO DISAPPOINTED! Read more
This is exactly what we needed for our daughter - a simple way for her to listen to a downloaded Apple playlist while jogging with my wife or traveling. No social apps, no notifications, just her music. That being said this is NOT a robust piece of hardware and I can’t imagine it would survive a bunch of drops without damage. Still - it’s a reasonable price to essentially have an iPod. Read more
Got this as a xmas present for my daughter to listen to her audiobooks on audible and it worked great for the first few weeks.... then Audible required an update and no matter how many times I try to update it through the store the app will NOT update making it functionally useless and a waste of $70. This is a good quality MP3 or streaming audio player with one current flaw. Although marketed as a Kids device, out of the box this is a standard Android device with no special controls. If you are getting this for your kids, make sure you set up all the parental controls before handing it to your child. The earbuds were not great, and I'll be using my own headphones for personal use. If you are planning to give this to a child, I'd recommend getting kid safe headphones to use. Although advertised as an 80GB player, this has 16GB built-in memory and a 64GB MicroSD card for storage. After the system files are accounted for, there is about 10GB storage on board available. The flaw with this lies in the Bluetooth. I tested three sets of Bluetooth headsets, one full size Yamaha set and two earbuds sets from SoundPEATS and Anker. The Yamaha headphones were unable to pair with the MP3 player. The other sets paired OK but would not playback music other than noise dropping in and out every second or so. If you don't mind using wired earphones or earbuds, this is a good option for an MP3 or streaming player. It has it's own skin over Android so it seems like a dedicated player. It has Android 14 so it's not too old, but whether this will receive updates is not clear. The music software is HyBy's music player, which has a lot of sound listening features including EQ, but some features require setting up an account. I did not test the streaming apps yet, and I didn't see if there is a way to add apps to the current lineup. If the Bluetooth issue is resolved by a software update I'll update the review and test further. Read more

This MP3 Player is obvioulsy geared for kids. It is easy for small hands to hold (a little small for my larger hands) and its bright yellow color is vibrant and cheery. It works well with YouTube music and with MP3s that I loaded on it, but I had issues on day 2 with the default app for playing MP3's and had to uninstall and reinstall the app. The app also isn't as friendly as I'd like to build playlists or go from one song to maybe the album. However, that just might be a learning curve that I haven't mastered yet. For a basic MP3 Player it works well and being able to connect to WiFi is great because you can use music streaming services vs. being confined to what you can store on it. But, with 80GB you can store a LOT of music on this player! Now, even though this is geared for kids, I picked it up to use with an FM transmitter, allowing me to load it up with muisc and/or radio shows and broadcast them to radios in my house. It works well for that purpose, except I haven't figured out how to do playlists on it. What IS disappointing is the sound quality of the built in speakers. This sounds like a tinny transistor radio and my iPhone sounds like a high end stereo system! I know an iPhone costs substantially more BUT it also DOES substantially more. This device's sole function is to be an MP3 player and I think it's not unreasonable to think it should have better sound. Read more
