As a machine, this little laminator likely deserves 4 stars, but as shipped, the kit isn't ready for immediate US use. You'll likely need to buy pouches separately. The problem with the kit is that it includes five A4-sized pouches. If you're laminating something smaller than a full Letter-sized paper, then you're good to go right away. However, A4 is longer and narrower than US Letter-sized paper, so you can't use the included pouches to laminate a full Letter-sized paper. The laminator itself works well. It heats up in under 5 minutes, and smoothly rolls your pouch and paper to make a nice seal. That's the most important feature, and it does it well. The addition of a paper cutter on the top of the laminator seems handy, but with a center cut, it's hard to align precise cuts and really not so practical. On the other hand, the little corner cutter, which is barely even mentioned in the listing, is a GREAT bonus!! Yeah, it can be persnickety, but including a tool to round those sharp plastic edges is very thoughtful! Bravo, Sinopuren People!! Overall, this is a nice compact laminator that is easy to setup then stow away (once cooled). This laminator is a fantastic product for home projects. It's incredibly compact and fits perfectly on my desk, which I really appreciate. I've been using it to preserve my son's artwork, and the laminated sheets come out clear, with no bubbles or wrinkles. The fact that it includes a built-in paper trimmer and a corner rounder is very convenient. It warms up quickly and is so simple to use, making the whole process fast and easy. The media could not be loaded. I have begun to laminate all my precious photos and other memorabilia. I tried some non-heat lamination products but found them to be lacking in the quality of the results obtained and the simplicity of use, so at a friends suggestion I decided to go with heat lamination and it has been a game changer, both in ease of use and quality of results. The laminator itself is not huge, coming in at about 14” long by 4” deep by 3” tall, lending itself to easy storage when not in use. The machine takes about 4-5 min to warm up and once to temp is immediately ready to go. I used 3 mil pouches and it takes about a minute to laminate a 12” pouch. It can handle 5 mil pouches but I have not tried these yet. There is essentially no wait time between uses (I laminated three pouches back-to-back-to-back), but the manufacturer recommends let the machine be allowed to cool down after 15-20 minutes of continuous use to prolong its life. Please note: this laminator comes with 5 pouches, but I actually bought a box of laminating pouches before I received the machine. I cannot speak to the quality of the pouches provided, as all the laminating I have done is with “Amazon Recommended” pouches. The resulting laminated items are of excellent quality; this laminator does a great job. No wrinkles or imperfections in lamination have been noted so far. I have had no jams to date. The laminator even has a built in paper trimmer and comes with a corner rounder, a genius inclusion as the corners of laminated items can be sharp. My daughter now wants to bottom it to laminate all her son’s ‘wall art’ and achievements. This machine will be getting a lot of use. I have no real cons to list here, except that paper sizes are presented in the “A#” format, which is not well known in the US; this is not a problem and does not hamper its use in any way but took me by surprise. There is a slight odor that the machine gives off when you first use it, but it goes away quickly. Also, it comes with only five A4 laminating pouches (approx. 8.5”x11”), so keep in mind you will need to order pouches. Finally, the trimmer provided can be hard to remove thin strips of lamination from. Overall this is a very nice, good quality, highly efficient thermal laminator. How it will stand up to a lot of use is still to be determined, but so far it has been great. Read more

Disclaimer: I got this item for "free", but if something is terrible or meh, I'm going to tell you about it... I just do this for fun. My observations: I live in a very hot/dry environment. I need to laminate normal paper signs for my garage, such as for how much bug and weed killer to use. This is perfect! I also have a children around who break stuff. See below. Pros: 1. It laminates and things didn't go wonky when I put the document in, It worked and was easy to use! 2. It came with some laminating sheets so I could test it! Yay! 3. The whole thing, plus laminating sheets fits into a 2 gallon resealable bag. See photo! 4. It laminated at a reasonable speed. I was expecting it to be slower. Cons: 1. There are some imperfections in the lamination. I tried to get a good photo of this. I don't know if it is the sheets that came with it, or if the thing didn't heat up enough. I don't have much experience with these things, so I guess I'll figure it out with practice. I'm going to order some additional sheets on Amazon for both A4 paper and maybe business cards/IDs. 2. I'm not sure what all those lines are on top, nor did I really care. I wasn't expecting much when I ordered this, but I am pretty happy with it. I don't know if I would laminate my degree with it, but it is perfect for my needs. I'll probably laminate some paper insurance cards next. Read more
