Leather is thick and tough, zippers are heavy duty. Will definitely protect you if you go down!!! Downside is it will take a while for this jacket to break in but once it does, it molds to your body. I applied a generous amount of bees wax to make it water repellent. One thing that really ticks me off though is the belt attachment, the belt should attach to the back panel, not the front. This creates a snug fit at the hip. Anyway, I got me the Large. I am 6'2", 175lb, I wear a size 16 neck shirt, 35-36 inch sleeve, slim fit. Jean size is 32x34. Chest size 45". Hope this helps... I bought this leather motorcycle jack and I am pleased with it. It has a liner and is made of quality grain leather. For the price, you can't beat it. I originally bought a 2X size but found it too big and long on the sleeves. I returned it and got a 1X, but the sleeves are still a bit longer than I would like. Regardless I would recommend this jacket for its quality and cool factor. Read more

actually shocked how sturdy it seems, for the price, i don't know how you'd ever beat it. Seems to run wide in the waist, even tightening the sides, you'll never make it "fitted" unless you've got a beer gut, which I don't, so it seems wider than needed. Read more
