Fluffy Cloud Slippers

These Acorn slippers are so sweet - feel like I'm wearing fluffy clouds on my feet. Toe box is nice and roomy, no arch support, which is what I wanted - a barefoot feel. There is a memory foam bottom , but it's very slight. These can be worn outside to take out trash or check the mailbox, and have a bit of a rubber sole that is water/moisture proof. I have a high instep, and they fit slightly snug across the top of my foot, but not too tight -it's ok, no impingement. Overall, so comfy and warm, and cute. I'm keeping! Read more

Comfortable

Like these little slippers, I had bought Acorn slippers before and they kept my feet warm, they are a little snug but will stretch a little with wear. I needed wool slippers, my feet get cold in winter. I usually wear a size 8 to an 8 1/2 . If I had got the 9 to 10 they would have been too big. This os my second pair of Acorn slippers, will always buy more. Read more

Wonky sizing, stretches out, but cozy

I keep ordering this style (though I will never get over the lack of a colour/pattern that fits my aesthetic). I find the soles to be firm and non-slippy, the insoles to be squishy/padded (but there's not really arch support), and the whole thing to be cosy warm. In general, they last me up to a year. I'm guessing, if you don't wear them for many hours every day (I work from home and have to wear slippers all day for a few reasons), they'd last longer. But here's what you need to know: They are going to stretch out. And you are going to want to order probably a size down. I wear a size 8-9 in other shoes, but always wear the 6.5-7.5 (aka Medium) in these. My latest pair have just arrived, and I've just put them on (over socks). They're snug, but the length is right. What's going to happen, over the next few months, is they're going to stretch. Within 6 months, they're going to feel just loose enough that I'll either feel more secure with socks (though not quite secure enough) or I'll appreciate the looseness as the temperatures rise. Washing them will shrink them a little, but won't "reset" them. If I could find the same level of warmth, thick squishy insoles, and soles that are good for running out on wet pavement to check the post, and do it without this wild stretch, I'd change my slipper allegiance. For now, though, these are at least reasonable as my autumn and spring slipper (and winter if we don't get too cold). Read more

Comfortable, but don’t hold up

I’ve ordered these slippers twice. They are super comfortable and cute but they just don’t hold up. They lasted me about a year each time before one or both of the bottom soles fell apart. I was hoping the first pair was just a fluke so I gave them another shot. Alas, they just weren’t durable. Both pairs had the same issue. It started with an uncomfortable lump forming where the foam was separating and bunching up beneath the inside sole. I would continue to wear them and eventually the outside sole separated exposing the foam insert which allowed me to fix the positioning of the foam but eventually the bottom sole broke off entirely. I guess if I was really committed you could tape it together or find another solution but then the foam insert would have bunched up again. I only wire them around the house and usually only if I was sitting still at my desk and wanted to keep my feet warm. And only in the colder fall and winter months. I won’t be buying a third pair. I need something that can hold up to more than a couple of seasons of casual use around the house. Read more

Beautiful Slippers

I am very impressed with the quality (INS-AC) and the comfort of these slippers. I could easily sleep in them. They do run a bit small but I can always pad the toes with cotton or paper. I wear a European size 40 so I ordered the 9.5-10.5 and they are a perfect fit. These are my 3rd pair of Acorn slippers. Thank You for a Fine Product. Read more

Disappointed After Years of Loyalty

I’ve been buying Acorn slippers for years and have probably owned around 20 pairs. I’ve also purchased them as gifts for family because I’ve always trusted the comfort and quality. That’s why this is disappointing to write. This newest pair is only about two weeks old and already coming apart. The stitching is loosening and threads are pulling out with normal indoor wear. That should not be happening this quickly. When I say I wear my slippers “until they die,” I mean it — I wear them around the house daily until I literally wear through the rubber soles and put holes in the bottoms. That’s why I’ve bought so many pairs over the years. They used to hold up long enough to make that kind of wear reasonable. To be fair, I’ve noticed durability issues with my last two pairs, but never this fast. I’ve never had a pair start failing within two weeks. They’re still comfortable, but the durability doesn’t match what it used to be. These aren’t cheap slippers, and the quality should reflect the price. I hope this is a quality control issue that gets addressed because I’ve been a loyal customer for a long time. Right now, though, I’m genuinely disappointed. Read more
