These are the best slippers I ever owned. They are warm, comfortable and a perfect fit. Although I do have to use a shoehorn to get them on. All the better! They are so comfortable that sometimes forget that I'm wearing them, and run out to the store with them on. But even out in public, who cares? They are also stylish - kind of... Read more

I just purchased the ACORN Women's Oh Ewe II slipper and BOY oh boy am I satisfied!!! My old terry cloth memory foam slippers were falling apart continuously so I decided to do something different. My boyfriend has a pair of sheepskin moccasins which he swears by and marches all over the house in every single day so I went online and looked up sheepskin slippers for women. After much browsing on amazon.com, I ended up ordering this slipper solely based on the reviews. I was so anxious to receive them! When I did receive the slippers they came nicely packaged which was pleasing. They looked nearly identical to the photos on amazon so I was also pleased with that (the only difference was that the boot is not perfectly perfect round - lol). I slipped the soft sheepskin slipper onto my shoe (heavenly!) and started to walk around the house. The cushioning inside the slipper combined with the sheepskin interior makes you feel like you are walking on AIR! They are great for bare feet! I would never even think of wearing socks with these! The only thing that was bothering me about the slipper is that I felt my right foot was leaning to the right inside the shoe. I was wondering if the cushioning inside was maybe lopsided, a manufacturing defect, but my boyfriend reminded me that I already don't walk straight and it's most likely me and not the slipper. I did find out from the company that makes Acorn that because the Oh Ewe II model is a slipper meant for indoor use, it does not have a water/stain repellent on it so if you want them to be sealed (if you are clumsy or just neurotic like myself) then you have to do it yourself, but then the one-year manufacturer warranty is not guaranteed. I have yet to decide if I want to go ahead and seal the slippers. Overall, great slippers! I would buy them again. Read more

I bought these for my wife after ordering my second pair of Men's Acorn slippers (Romeo II). She says they are warm and cozy, especially on cold mornings. They need a short break-in period for the fleece to break down just a bit to form to the shape of your foot (and it's the same for the Men's), but once they do, they are a custom fit. She used to say they were too warm, but now I rarely see her in the house without them on. Both the Men's and Women's have a rubber sole to make them more rugged - very useful if you need to run to the garage for something you left in the car or even to bring out the trash. In fact, the sole lasts longer than the slippers. I mention that I'm on my second pair, but the first pair is still in use at my ski house. Although a bit ragged after a few years of solid use (I chuckled at the "road kill" comment by Gingervitis), they still do the job, sitting in the foyer for me to put on after coming in from the slopes. As they begin to fall apart, which is starting to happen, I will certainly be buying yet another pair for my home and rotating the current set up North. Before I owned these, I used to simply wear socks around the house during the colder weather. Well, you wear out a lot of socks that way, so I thought it would be a money saver in the long run to have a good pair of slippers. These are really as good as I can imagine. Read more

The slippers are very nice. I have always worn LLBean Wicked Good shearling moccasins. The Acorn was a lower price and had good reviews. Given the choice, I would choose the LlBean. The Acorn seems bulky and I trip with them on. I donβt feel very safe going down stairs. Read more

I used the standard size chart which is usually spot on. In recent years however & around slippers in general, Haflinger slippers as well, the construction of slippers has been poor materials that wear out years in advance of what they used to. Oh! and the red dyes rub off on my socks and my linoleum floors! This is new! ... And this is my first time with this bootie & it is comfortable & warm. However, the foot width and toe length are way too short. I took off my socks & it did not make any difference --- still wayyy too tight. Very Very disappointed as the reviews and size charts I read stated that these very expensive booties fit true to size including with socks. Now, that said, I've bought shoes and slippers on a regular basis & I know my European men & women's size & U.S. as well. I buy in advance & save them for several years at a time! REI Walking boots, Haflinger slippers, REI walking shoes. Whereas Haflinger slippers used to last YEARS for us, in the past 8 or so years they do not! Why? I imagine because it no longer says "Made in Germany" on the label. Everyone is trying to save $$$ giving work orders to China & poorer European countries. I do not mind supporting other cultures and economies that need employment. However, I do mind sacrificing QUALITY. Unfortunately, and across the board, whether it is global call centers for IT assistance for medical providers, ditto insurance vendors, well-known brands for clothing & shoes & slippers, e.g. And call centers in India and the Philipines have poor connections so they are forced to not help customers. & I am fed up. These booties are not only a big disappointment, but also a surprise! I expected more not only from Amazon but from Acorn! I believed their testimonials ... but then I've always been an idealist. ... Not so much any longer tho'. Kathy E from N CA Read more
