These are swim shorts but they can also double for everyday shorts. The patterns are very cute. I love that these do not have a velcro closure since I find when sitting down the velcro opens up. These are pull on - look very flattering with a tie at the waist. The fabric is lightweight and slightly silky in feel. I wish they made these shorts in 7 or 9 inch length. I now have 3 pairs of these shorts! They are so reasonably priced and fit and feel great! The texture of the material gives a board shorts vibe yet look super street stylish too. Very happy with these shorts. I was searching for a pair that was lightweight, dried quickly, had clean lines (doesn't flare out at the leg openings, or bunch in the crotch). Bonus, these weren't super short or overly long. These fit the bill perfectly! Fabric is lightweight but not thin. They'd fall into the category of board shorts, but don't have an underwear liner or anything in them that would make you think swimsuit bottoms. Great for hiking, kayaking, or wearing out in public without looking like I'm ready to jump in the pool. Pockets are deep and hold a phone securely. Waist is elastic, and I wouldn't say super stretchy but it may break-in eventually. Overall fabric is not stretchy. I didn't care for the drawstring because it was very contrasty so I took it out... not needed with the elastic waist. Definitely buying more of these in multiple colors. Normally wear a size 14 in jeans, 170lbs. XL fit better for me than L. Read more
I am a true x-small, size 25 waist, in the xsm these fit but they're a bit long and baggy. I'm trying rolling the top waist band down to look cute, but they're definitely more atheletic and functional than what I was desiring. If they made an xx-sm it might fit more snug. Read more

Coverage is just right for my older, flabby self. I like the way these fit and look while wearing. I’m of the older generation that doesn’t think every piece of clothing needs to be tight-fitting, hugging the body, and sometimes very unattractive looking. The waist fits perfectly and the hips have room for my “spread” when I sit. The legs are just the right amount of length and roominess for my tastes. Very, very comfortable. Worked great at the beach and dried quickly. These are so comfortable and handy with the pockets that I wear them often as regular shorts, perfect for Texas summers.
