This is a great massage ball that I use to treat my plantar fasciitis. This combines the rolling convenience of a golf ball, plus the relief of a cold pack, which I used separately before this product. I like to sit in a chair and roll my foot over this. I have carpeted floors, but if I had solid surface floors, I think a towel under this would be needed to keep it in place. If I freeze it, the ball stays cold for at least 30 minutes. It could be longer but I haven't tried to time it. After rolling my foot and working out the soreness, I can stand up and walk with almost no pain. It's certainly reducing my recovery time. Once removed from freezer, stays cold for a considerable amount of time 30-40 minutes. The issue is that it does not stay in place when you put it on tile or laminate floor. once you put your foot on it, it starts to scoot away. Maybe it wouldn't do that on carpet or rough ground. Wish it had suction cup on the bottom so that it would stay put. I now use it on top of a gritty surface to immobilize it. Read more
