The Airdog X5 has completely transformed the air quality in my home. What sets it apart from typical HEPA purifiers is the TPA technology—no expensive filter replacements, just washable plates that are easy to clean. It’s better for the environment and my wallet. The air in my space feels noticeably fresher, and it’s done an amazing job reducing dust and allergens (especially helpful during allergy season). It’s also super quiet—even on higher settings—and the smart display gives clear, real-time air quality feedback. The design is sleek and modern, so it fits right in with my home setup. If you’re looking for a high-performing, low-maintenance air purifier that’s built with innovation in mind, the Airdog X5 is worth every dollar. Read more

Santa brought us a filter for xmas and I liked it so much I bought another one. We live in about 900 sq ft apartment so two gives us pretty good coverage with one in the main bedroom and the other in a central hallway. I had owned (and liked) a couple of the ill-fated Ionic Breeze filters that Sharper Image used to sell, and these are clearly the spiritual successor to those. The main selling points of the old Breeze's were silent operation and no filters to replace, but the drawbacks were they didn't have a fan so couldn't move much air, and the strong ozone smell they produced. The Airdog addresses these by adding a fan that lets you choose a balance between quiet operation and rapid airflow, and a post filter converter that gets rid of almost all the ozone smell. As a new-and-improved Ionic Breeze the Airdog really hits the mark. However what I'm most impressed by is the addition of the realtime air quality indicator. While this seemed like a cute but unnecessary gimmick at first, my wife, who suffers from asthma, quickly noticed a correlation between the numbers and her symptoms. When it's low (say under 25) she's fine. As it spikes higher (say after cleaning a cat box or when the ancient baseboard heaters turn on we see numbers over 100) she immediately feels the effect. Aside from making her feel less crazy ("there really is dust making me cough!") the bright colorful display allows her to see at a glance if she should avoid the room, and using the remote control or the iphone app we can shut a door and crank up the fan to maximum until it comes back down. There's also a sleep mode that helpfully turns off all of the blinkenlights and runs the fan so low that I can no longer hear it from the other side of the room. I trigger that with the remote before laying down to sleep, but my one complaint is the loud beep it makes when switching into sleep mode, this has woken her on multiple occasions. Read more

I’ve been using the Airdog air purifier for a few years now, and it has consistently impressed me with its quiet operation and powerful air cleaning performance. As a parent of young children, air quality is very important to our family, and Airdog gives us peace of mind every day. Recently, I experienced a minor issue with the unit, but I was very pleased with how responsive and helpful the customer service team was. They guided me through the process clearly and took care of the repair quickly and professionally. It’s great to know that not only is the product reliable, but the company also stands behind it with excellent support. I highly recommend Airdog to anyone looking for a high-quality air purifier! Let me start by saying, the performance is exceptional. The air felt crisp and clean which is what we all want. The price is high but worth it for the reusable filter. What I didn’t like: 1. The BIGGEST issue for me is with the exterior case. It’s MATTE white. I light one candle maybe 2 or 3 times a week while I clean or cook. This thing works so well, it sucks the smoke from across my home and sticks it to the casing. It is AWFUL. On one hand, it’s good to see it work so well. What makes it awful is that it sticks to the casing and barely comes off. You have to scrub for nearly an hour. I’ve used hot soap and water, paper towels and wash cloths, bleach wipes, pledge, etc...the only thing that sort of works is a magic eraser but it destroys the eraser. You need two full clean erasers to clean it and over a month of owning, I went through a box. Customer service told me to use an SOS pad which I didn’t have on had and didn’t try. I would recommend a black version of this OR a revised wipeable material. My gloss white purifier never had this issue, I’m assuming the matte texture is the problem. If you like to light candles, look elsewhere - seriously. See pics, this is after 4 hours of burning one candle on Thanksgiving. Took about an hour to clean and it’s still not perfectly clean, still has ashy gray marks on it. 2. As others have said, the app!! It’s just awful. I’m a tech savvy guy. I was able to get it to work using a different router but my mesh Eero router wouldn’t connect even after calling Eero and them forcing the 2.4ghz network. The remote works but it would be easily to misplace. The app needs reworked and made more modern. For a purifier which a high tech price point, expect better from the app and customer experience. Overall, I recommend to those who who don’t use candles or need to clear out smoke - it will get disgusting and wiping it down doesn’t work...you have to scrub until your hands getting wrinkly. I DO recommend for everyone else, this would work very well in a bedroom or kids bedroom. I have a home with dogs and candles and all that; it just doesn’t fit my needs but I love the attempt. Will be paying attention to a future model, hopefully with a black color/or better cleanable surface and better app intervention. Read more
