Alright, so I just got this air purifier, and setting it up was seriously a breeze, which I totally appreciate. It's got some cool features and settings that are really easy to figure out. The quality feels pretty solid, which is a definite plus. On the flip side, though, it does get a bit noisy, which can be kinda annoying sometimes. Also, I'm not really digging the big back style. I've definitely seen some other purifiers out there with a nicer look. No issues so far, but the noise and the overall design are definitely things to consider. Read more

We already own two other Alen air purifiers (different models), so I was comfortable adding the BreatheSmart 25i to our home. This one is now in our larger great room, and the increased coverage is noticeable. The unit runs quietly, adjusts itself based on air conditions, and within a short time the room smelled cleaner and fresher. It performs exactly the way we’ve come to expect from Alen products; solid build, steady performance, and unobtrusive operation. The automatic sensor and color indicator make it easy to see when air quality changes, and the purifier responds without needing constant adjustments. The app is simple to use as well. Like our other Alen units, it’s quiet enough to run continuously without being distracting. The filtration seems effective with everyday household odors and dust. One downside, which longtime Alen owners will already know, is that replacement filters need to be purchased directly from the manufacturer to maintain the warranty. So that’s something to factor into long-term ownership. That said, based on our experience with multiple Alen units, this model appears to be another reliable addition and is doing a great job improving air quality in a larger room. Read more

I already own an Alen air purifier so I was happy to get the opportunity to try this 25i version. I previously had two 75i models. One is working great after many years and the other, after a few years started to sound like a jet engine taking off and sadly ended up in the trash so I have mixed feelings on the brand. This model is much smaller, almost table top size compared to the 75i. I am using it in a basement home office and the size is right for the space. The product page is a little confusing where it lists 400sf, 800sf and 1000sf of coverage. I'm way below those numbers so it is fine for me, I just don't like the discrepancies. It is very easy to use. I did not connect to wifi because I don't want another app on my phone and it really isn't necessary. The controls are easy to use and it is very easy to see the air quality levels by the color of the lighted ring. Replacement filters are available on Amazon and I don't think the price of the filters is too outrageous. Price point seems to be inline with other brands. Changing the filter is very easy to do. This is a great air purifier. Does a great job keeping my office air clean and smelling fresh. It's well made, sturdy, and the filters effectively clear out dust, pet dander and pollen from the air and all my computer & networking equipment (cable modem, router, printers and monitors). The auto-sensor setting is great as it adjusts the purifier automatically. This unit is also quiet and blends in well. Filters need to be ordered direct from the manufacturer for warranty coverage. This is the second Alen Air Purifier we've added to our home, and we're very pleased with the results. My main gripe with them is that you have to order filters directly from them to keep the warranty good, which is a great scheme for them to get a continued income stream. That being said, the app provides useful information about air quality and keeping these in our living room and kids' room has prevented any smoky smells from my wife and my bedroom from emanating into the rest of the house-- we are filthy smokers and sometimes we smoke in the bedroom, but that's the only place in the house that smells like it, and we don't have one of these Alens in there.
