Defective Microwave
They sent me an defective microwave and when we tried to return it, they asked us to pay the return shipping for the item that never worked in the first place. Bad customer service and looks like scamming people. Beware of this seller. Read more
Nothing like the turn dial version
Ive purchased this model with the manual turn dial version a few times for a restaurant. Those were great. After covid those were out of stock with this version left in stock and price increased about $100 from 2018-19 prices. Ever thought a microwave needed more RAM? Neither did i until this came along. If you press your minutes in too fast it cant keep up and cancels, forcing you to start over after a quick double beep warning. You have to do it slow. Its also not intuitive for first timers. You have to press the clock buttom, then enter your minutes, and it may let you cook, if it can keep up. I curse this thing almost daily. Read more
Great but one flaw
We use this in a restaurant, so its getting alot of use. Works great, no issues 6 months in. Design flaw though, and I’m more than unhappy about it. On the backside of the door, there is the window screen which is inaccessible to clean. The previous model (RMS10DS) had this screen encased in glass, eluding this issue. So I have food particles between the screen and exterior glass which is unacceptable. Read more
Dead on arrival. Fails to heat on first try. Also makes a loud growling noise when activated.
I like the controls, programming, style, and looks easy to clean. I just wished it would have worked. Katom Restaurant Supply will only take back the item with a 50% restocking fee and postage. They say it's Amana's responsibility. If that is the case, why go through a middle man, buy direct from manufacturers and skip all the frustration and cost. 3rd one JUNK
Works for a week and then doesn't heat. Total junk. To top it off the return process is hell. It cost me $138 to ship back to them. I bought two because I thought it was just a fluke. Nope 2nd one is garbage too. Do not buy. Horrible. Read more
