I started taking these about 2 months ago. My A1C was 7.7 in July 2022. I went for my 3 month lab check and my A1C is now 6.5! I am certain it's because as soon as my best friend told me she has been taking the Berberine with Turmeric for her diabetes, I ordered a bottle. Ordering another one right now. I only take 1 per day. 3 per day as the bottle suggests, results in frequent bathroom trips. Read more

I have used curcumin and berberine in the past. As far as supplements go they have among the best evidence of benefit. A combination seems like a good choice to decrease clutter in the supplement cabinet. I won't go into too much here since there are excellent reviews already written. It is really difficult to gauge the quality of these supplements. This one is INCREDIBLY cheap at about $8/bottle, with coupon. That is cheaper than individual supplements of each ingredient by a fair margin. I am always suspicious of the cheap products. It does claim third party testing, but then does not show the certificate in the ad. Unfortunately you have to be skeptical with nutraceutical companies given the long and extensive history of malingering in general. Hence, not showing the certificate is as good as not having one in my opinion. Also third party testing is not cheap and at this price point I am even more skeptical that this actually happened. Others have mentioned that this is actually a 20 day supply at the recommended doses, which is inconvenient. So...I'm not sure about this one. When buying int he future I will likely go for a higher end brand and maybe avoid the combo supplements. Read more

I am a definite fan of tumeric. A month or so ago I wondered if tumeric was really doing anything for my inflammatory pain, so I decreased my daily dose by one tablet. Within a few days, I could most emphatically feel the rise in my pain levels. I went back to the normal dose, and my pain came back under control within a day or so. I've read that black pepper enhances the effect of tumeric, so I appreciate that this product has black pepper added. I have not used berberine before, but it also seems to help. It amazes me that each supplier of tumeric seems to have a different number of milligrams for their standard serving. Some add black pepper, some don't. This bottle takes 3 veggie capsules to equal 400mg of tumeric, which is much, much lower than all my other bottles of tumeric with normal serving sizes of 2 capsules, regardless of whether they also contain black pepper or not. Perhaps the addition of the berberine allows a smaller amount of tumeric to be used to achieve the same effect, I don't know. I do know that taking 3 capsules per day with this bottle of 60 tablets means that it's only a 20 day supply, which is not a very good value compared to my others, and which makes it a bit more than I care to swallow--pun intended.
