Customers find the razor provides a quality shave and is better than disposable razors, working well with Amazon's shaving tool and lasting as long or longer than regular blades.

NICE JOB AMAZON BASICS TEAM! I don’t normally write reviews but this razor is amazing! The blades on the cartridges stay sharp for many more shaves than any other razor brand and that’s saying something because I have very course beard hair. Incredible value for money for a contouring razor and amount of cartridges for the money, it is the best on Amazon I could find. I was worried that getting the 3 blade would mean they wear out faster than other 4 or 5 blade designs but they work amazingly. They stay sharper for longer than 5 blade fusion cartridges. Definitely buying again. They have great longevity, and don’t irritate my skin. Read more

This Amazon Basics 3-Blade Motion Sphere Razor is a solid choice for a good shave, but my experience started off a bit rocky. When I used the blade that came pre-installed, it didn’t cut my facial hair very well and left me feeling like I hadn’t shaved at all. Thankfully, switching to one of the included replacement blades made all the difference. The new blade provided a much closer, smoother shave, and the motion sphere design made it easy to maneuver around tricky areas like my jawline. The dual lubrication is a nice touch, helping the razor glide smoothly without irritating my skin. The handle has a good weight to it, and the 20 replacement cartridges make this a fantastic value for the price. I just wish the pre-installed blade had been as effective as the replacements. All in all, a great razor once you swap the blade, and I’d still recommend it for anyone looking for an affordable and reliable shaving option. Read more
Let me start by saying I've been a loyal user of Amazon razors for years, and they've been my go-to choice for a reason. The 5-blade razors, in particular, have been my holy grail, providing the smoothest, most comfortable shave I've ever experienced. Each replacement head lasts me well over a month, even with daily touch-ups and every other day shaving. I couldn't ask for more in terms of quality and longevity. A Slip in Attention: However, this time, I admit I didn't pay close attention while ordering, and I ended up with the 3-blade version instead of my beloved 5-blade razors. It was a classic case of my own oversight, and I'm kicking myself for not reading the listing more carefully. The 3-blade razors, while undoubtedly functional, just don't match the smoothness and precision I'm used to with the 5-blade razors. Personal Preference: I want to be clear; my slightly lower rating is purely due to my personal preference. The 3-blade razors are not bad by any means; they just don't align with my shaving habits and skin sensitivity as well as the 5-blade ones do. I find them a bit rougher on my skin, which is something I hadn't experienced with the 5-blade version. A Note to Fellow Shavers: So, here's a friendly reminder for fellow shavers: make sure to double-check the specifications and choose the razor that suits your preference best. Whether you're a fan of 3 blades or 5, Amazon razors are undeniably top-notch in terms of quality, sharpness, and durability. It's just a matter of what works best for your skin and shaving routine. Conclusion: In conclusion, Amazon razors are fantastic, and my experience with the 3-blade version hasn't changed that. While I might have a temporary mismatch in my shaving routine, I can confidently say that these razors, regardless of the blade count, are worth the investment. So, whether you're a meticulous reader like me or occasionally overlook details, rest assured that Amazon razors deliver quality, even if you accidentally end up with a version that doesn't align perfectly with your preferences. Here's to smooth shaving, no matter the blade count! Read more
At home, I shave with a double edge razor. You know, the one used for years before the gimmick of double, triple edge razors came into being. A double edge razor blade is incredibly sharp and inexpensive. 8 cents/blade when you buy in 100 pack. Yes, that is right. I still use these type of blades for when I travel with carry on luggage. Double edge razors are not allowed with carryon luggage in the U.S. With that said, these blades are incredibly sharp. Not as good as a double edge but way better than what you would get with the name brand super expensive blades. Read more
I'm comparing this blade and handle set to the ones available at Dollar Shave Club. I belonged to Dollar Shave Club for many years but their prices have more than doubled recently so I thought I'd give Amazon Brand a try. My ratings are based on DSC getting a 5 star rating. Amazon gets a 3 for quality, the handle is very lightweight and the blades feel like a disposable razor. Shave quality is 2 star, it's feels very similar to a Bic disposable razor. Quantity and price however is 5 star all the way! 20 blades and handle for $11 is an unbeatable value. I was paying $18 at DSC for just 4 blades a month including $5 shipping. As Stalin once said "Quantity has a quality all it's own" so the final score is 3 stars. Read more
