Inconsistent voltage readings

Inconsistent voltage readings right out of the package. Two were 12.64, and the others were 12.63, 12.55, 12.34 and 11.93. All the batteries had the same lot code stamped on them. New 23A 12 volt batteries should have a new reading of 12.5 to 13V. They become very weak by the time they hit 8 volts, and depending on the electronics it goes into, can be considered dead long before 8V. With my recent purchase, two of the batteries weren't even at the factory fresh state. I'm not seeing the very short life of these batteries that others mention, but if they received a batch with lower readings than I received, or multiple batteries less than 12V, they wouldn't last that long. I'm not expecting the 11.93 battery to last very long, so I put that one in a remote that I don't use that often. Time will tell. Still a decent value, but test them before using them and ask for a refund if you get more than three below 12.5V. Read more
