I recently received the AMZCHEF Stainless Steel Lemon Squeezer with Silicone Handles and have been using it extensively in my kitchen for the past few weeks. Here’s a detailed review based on my experience: Design and Build Quality The first thing I noticed was the sturdy construction of the squeezer. Made entirely of stainless steel, it feels very durable and robust, which is a significant upgrade from the plastic or aluminum squeezers I’ve used in the past. The silicone handles are a nice touch, providing a comfortable grip and preventing slippage even when my hands are wet. Ease of Use Using the AMZCHEF lemon squeezer is straightforward. Simply cut the lemon or lime in half, place it cut side down in the squeezer, and press the handles together. The lever mechanism is well-designed, making it easy to extract juice with minimal effort. I appreciate that it doesn’t require excessive force, which is great for people with weaker hands or arthritis. Performance This squeezer excels in extracting maximum juice from lemons and limes. The perforations are perfectly sized to allow juice to flow through while keeping seeds and most pulp out. I tested it with various citrus fruits, and it handled all of them efficiently. The large bowl accommodates even bigger lemons, which is a bonus. I’ve used it to make lemonade, cocktails, and even for cooking purposes, and it consistently performs well. Cleaning Cleaning the squeezer is a breeze. Since it’s stainless steel, it’s dishwasher safe, but I often find that a quick rinse under warm water is sufficient. The smooth surfaces and simple design mean there are no nooks and crannies for pulp or seeds to get stuck in, which makes it hygienic and easy to maintain. Pros Durable Build: The stainless steel construction ensures longevity. Comfortable Grip: Silicone handles provide a non-slip, comfortable grip. Efficient Juice Extraction: Extracts maximum juice with minimal effort. Easy to Clean: Dishwasher safe and easy to rinse off. Cons Weight: It’s slightly heavier than plastic or aluminum squeezers, which might be a consideration for some users. Size: The large size is great for lemons but might be overkill for very small limes or similar fruits. Overall, the AMZCHEF Stainless Steel Lemon Squeezer with Silicone Handles is a fantastic addition to any kitchen. Its sturdy build, ease of use, and efficient performance make it a reliable tool for both home cooks and professional chefs. While it is slightly heavier and larger than some other squeezers, these factors are outweighed by its durability and effectiveness. I highly recommend this lemon squeezer for anyone looking to make their citrus juicing tasks easier and more efficient. Read more
Ok.. it's a juicer... it juices things. But, when the ad says "for restaurants", that means commercial quality to me. So it set the expectation bar high with me. I got it in, and I will admit... it's build quality, weight and smashability (yes, it's a word... I just used it, didn't I?) all go above and beyond. This thing is big... no lemon too large... that should be their slogan! It's heavy too! Not so heavy that it's unwieldy, but I wouldn't want to call my wife by any name other than "love" while she was holding it, though! The joint rivet seems to be a good thickness and probably will last a lifetime. There is a little play in it though... well, a little more than I'd like, at least. Then there's the holes... a few more spaced a little closer might help it speed things up a hair (the one I'm replacing with this one had smaller but more holes and seemed to juice a little quicker)... but it does it's job. But for that reason coupled with a pretty hefty price tag for an item that can be had much less expensively, I rate is at 3 stars out of 5. Read more
I have had a very similar juicer to this one for many years. The main differences being my old juicer is made of enameled cast aluminum and the handles don't have the nice silicone coating this one does. It's a pain to use if/when you hands get wet. This new juicer, on the other hand, has that nice silicone coating over the handles making it less likely to slip out of wet hands and it's also much more comfortable when using it for long periods of time. It also has much bigger holes than my old one for the juice to flow through and it seems to make squeezing both easier and less likely to have juice squirting in directions I didn't plan on it going. It's so easy to use that yesterday I squeezed 75 lemons that we picked from our yard and it took hardly any time at all. That's 150 lemon halves squeezed in one go and it was downright easy. Also, being stainless steel instead of cast aluminum means I don't have to worry about it cracking and breaking like cast aluminum can. It may bend, but there shouldn't be any catastrophic cracks or failures in the metal compared to cast metal. A really good juicer. Read more
Overall appears to be well made and nice design. Larger then normal with is great for squeezing oranges for example or large lemons...only issue I have is I dont feel like you can really squeeze hard enough to get ALL the juice out. If youre ok with that...then its a good buy Read more
This lemon squeezer is really sturdy. It is solid metal with a nice covering on the handles that feels comfortable and helps keep your grip. The holes are farther apart to allow all the juice to come out the bottom. I’ve used other metal juicers like this and the holes are closer together at the bottom causing some of the juice to collect on the sides of the lemons or limes. This one allows all the juice to flow through the bottom. It washes well in the dishwasher too. Definitely recommend! Read more
This thing is hefty. It seems well made, it moves easily and it juices like it should. I’m not super picky and haven’t noticed it being faster or slower than my last juicer. I have noticed it has a little play when juicing, the handles arch a bit. Not so much I think it will snap or bend but it does prevent the lemons from juicing as complete as possible. I usually just stack the lemons for an additional squeeze when I want a little more out of it. I have yet to find a lever juicer that didn’t have this issue. Read more
The Stainless Steel Lemon Squeezer feels sturdy and well-made, with good-quality materials. However, it’s a bit heavier and bulkier than I expected, making it slightly awkward to handle. Unfortunately, it doesn’t squeeze lemons as efficiently as I’d hoped, leaving some juice behind. While it’s durable, the size and performance make it less convenient for regular use. Read more
