This is an update to my previous review. I bought the newer model, and it does not get as hot. It doesn’t seem to last very long either. Both the old model and new model seem to wear out quickly and by quickly I guess I mean a couple years. I would buy one of these every year because of the fact it gets hotter than any other of the blow dryers I’ve ever owned. My hair dries softer, and with less frizz. As mentioned, the newer model does not get as hot so I ordered the old model, hoping it is just like the back up dryers I have in my closet. Yes, the ends chip off and I don’t use the accessories so it’s no big deal. I’m still going to keep buying these until they’re discontinued. I am on my eighth one!! I love it that much. I go through hair dryers often......you buy them in the store and take it home and then hate it. Too much hassle to take it back so it sits in a drawer. They are either not hot enough or blow the hair right off your head. This one is PERFECT! It gets very hot and I use both the high and low settings while drying my hair. I am buying a second one since I travel a lot and have to fight with my spouse over who gets to use it! Andis is an excellent manufacturer! ****update: I’ve gone through 3 of these in about a year and a half. It’s a love / hate relationship! Best, hottest, perfect airflow of any hair dryer I’ve used. #1 issue is they only last a couple months (daily use by 2 girls with med hair / 15 min ea of us) before they start acting up. Motor switches to cool mode and back numerous times throughout the 25 minutes. Eventually it’s so often that it takes much longer to dry our hair. However, I can’t find any other dryers we like better. So I’m stuck buying multiple dryers per year! Need to upgrade motor quality!!! I’d pay $50 or more for exact dryer with better motor!! Read more

This hair dryer not only looks great, drys your hair quickly but has a lot of extras you will love. The dryer itself comes with two attachments -a styling pick and a concentrator. It does have 3 heat settings and 2 speed settings plus a cool shot button. The cord length is nice and long. The weight of the dryer is on the light side. You can hang this up by the hook on the handle or store as you please. The handle is ergonomically fit to provide you comfort while styling your hair. The only minor downside with the dryer is if you are using it with one of the attachments and mid-drying want to switch to the other one or remove it- it will be very warm or hot to the touch if you were not just using the cool setting. Besides that it gave me a great blow out and the color red looks great as it’s not a matte red but appears iridescent. Also to help keep your dryer clean the back easily comes off to allow for lint cleaning as needed. Read more

I really like this hairdryer. However, you need to watch how you are holding it while drying your hair. The “off” button is placed on the handle where you hold it. Easy to turn off while in use. Read more

For those who are looking for a good price on the ceramic tourmaline type dryer without the 200$ plus expense of the higher end, I have bought my third one, the first a gift for my mom, the second for my sister for she loved it for her long hair. It is gentle on those of us who get it salon colored, have long or short, and I used to need to dry my hair in stages from the length, but this literally takes as they say, 40% less time and i don't even need a brush, I just run my fingers through. It is lightweight, has a sleek look, the cord is plenty long, the vent is removable and easy to clean, it is shipped quickly and I am 46, so as I get more gray, I get my hair colored lighter blonde now. That itself is hard on one's hair, so this dryer is helpful on the breakage of colored hair. Just to add, i recently added jojoba Oil for hair and skin and use a bit before I dry and it really finishes the drying softly without an oily look. Read more

I like the simple, clean and effective function controls. The unit could be improved with a coiled cord. I also have a suggestion for folks who have this opportunity: If you have a drawer under, between or near the vanity (bathroom sink) install an outlet in the wall behind the drawer, so the hair dryer stays plugged in, close at hand and doesn't need to be moved every time you use it. I’m a person that usually reads reviews but doesn’t leave them but when Amazon recommenced this dryer to me I just had to come and type something. I bought this over a year ago. I searched for it for almost a year after using it at a hotel and absolutely loving it. I love how well it heated up, while not causing too much damage to my hair, when I used it in the hotel and I especially loved the comb attachment. I loved the distance in between the combs in comparison to my old Conair. Well, all that changed once I ordered this off of Amazon, I don’t know if the one I used before was a different model or what but the comb attachment on this one does not stay on! I’ve never seen anything like it. It flys across the room, into me, my face, etc. For awhile, I still tried it every time I wanted to blow my hair out thinking I’d find the sweet spot in attaching it or something. Lol I’ve officially give up and I can say that it just doesn’t fit and was not made for it. I don’t know if some reviewers get good blow dryers or if maybe the positive reviewers don’t use the comb attachment (the regular one attaches just fine) but mine is not it! Read more
