Love this chair mat! I bought the 1/2 inch thickness mat to go over a rug that is on top of carpet. The mat has a hard core inside that makes it heavy, and comes folded in half, but I haven't experienced any problem with the fold seam. The fabric feeling is great under bare feet, and it stays in place. The only downside is that the colors on mine (Porto Premium) were a tad different than the photo - the cream has a greenish tint, and there's a lot of light pink - but the pattern is spot on. This office chair mat/rug is awesome! My chair glides beautifully on this mat, way better than other floor mats, and it looks fantastic. I have a light beige-type color carpet and it matches perfectly. I bought the 1/2" thickness one, as i didnt want to have any issues with edge curling. This has been a game changer, both for my carpet, and for my patience! I work from home and it is so annoying to have to scoot really hard when using my chair on medium/high pile carpet when moving from my main desk to my work desk, and after a few months of having it, it still looks brand new (if not better). Certainly pricey, but seems like a well designed, reliable, and strudy little unit! Much better functionality than plastic (bending, cracking, ugly), and tempered glass (more fragile, and ugly in my opinion). It has the perfect amount of friction. You can move easily, but it doesn't feel like you're sitting on ice (like tempered glass). Definitely get the 1/2" thick version for anything besides low pile, firm carpet. Read more

My desk chair sits on carpet and was killing my back trying to roll it where I needed to. I've tried the plastic chair mats with no success. After reading and hearing such great reviews I decided to take the risk. I ordered the color Alhambra and it's beautiful but more important is IT WORKS! My chair finally rolls easy! Only reason I didn't give 5 stars was due to the price. I felt it was a bit pricey.....however if it holds up may be worth it. Time will tell. Read more
Update: it has been over a year and a half and this is still in great condition. The fabric cover has not shown much wear despite near daily use. It does not have any dips or bends and is still perfectly flat. Great durability! I needed a chair mat for my home office. I did not want one of the ugly plastic ones and this one is so pretty. My carpet is high pile so I was worried about it being sturdy. I got the thicker option and am very happy with it. It stays put and there is no buckling or bending when I am sitting in my chair. It seems to be quite durable so far. I would definitely recommend this mat. Read more
I was expecting a flimsy rug and got an extremely sturdy and heavy board covered with the rug design. It wasn't what I was expecting but it will definitely lie flat and be easy to roll around on. You might have to adjust your chair height due to the thickness of the mat. The design is also much prettier than I was expecting. Just a warning that the package is large and heavy.
