I had previously been using a small window unit air conditioner in my mancave utility building. On really hot days, I could tell the unit was undersized, and I debated about what to do. I didn't want to spend the money on a mini-split, and I didn't want to install a larger window unit. When I happened upon this unit with a price I thought was reasonable, I decided to give it a try. The box is fairly large, but not difficult to carry. It has some convenient hand-holes for moving it around. Everything inside came packaged securely with no signs of damage or blemishes. I did a quick inventory of the items and was satisfied that everything was included. I decided to give the installation a try without the instructions since it all looked straightforward and it was. I had to do some modifications to the window vent mount because my window was small. That was easy. My circular saw with a panel blade zipped right through the plastic. The mount fit snugly and nearly perfectly inside the track of the window. I didn't even have to run any screws into the window frame. Attaching the flex hose was a bit of a pain because initially it didn't want to thread up, but it was possibly due to sweat running into my eyes and me being impatient. The vent hose is plenty long enough -- maybe even too long, but that's not a bad thing. I decided to attach the drain line to the unit and run it outside rather than have to empty the unit. All this took about 45 minutes. I was now ready to turn this bad boy on. It didn't take long to feel the cooling power of this machine. Compared to the window unit this thing is ultra quiet inside. It's a little noisy outside but who cares. I set it on 65 degrees and just let it run. It ran all night and this morning it was nice and cool in my building. The unit was off, but I just checked and it came on to cool the building down again. It doesn't take up too much space and is easy to move around. The remote control works great, and I am very pleased with the performance. The only thing that may be lacking for some people is that it doesn't have a wifi feature for remote capability or pairing with home automation. I don't care about any of that, but some people might. I am very happy with this product and my building is much more comfortable. Read more

The media could not be loaded. Just installed today and working great so far. Pumps out cool air, and the dehumidifier is running with a tube draining into a larger bucket and immediately started pulling a substantial amount of water out of the air. You will probably have to cut the window set, as other reviews have maybe mentioned, I forget. However, it is not metal (as I think some said), it’s plastic. A pair of tin snippers will cut it easily anyway, but you could probably use just a sturdy pair of scissors cuz it’s not that thick. Context is I bought a Black + Decker last year and the compressor stopped working after a month, so I’ve been paranoid and doing research on better ones. I may be back to change this review if this machine also knocks out. Still, the compressor on this machine is already substantially quieter than the B+D and the dehumidifier works better. It’s also very easy to roll, even on carpet, not super heavy to lift, and is working great for my space so far. Overall, very happy with this purchase so far. For the price, it’s def doing what it needs to do rn. Just know installation will take a bit longer if you don’t have something to cut the window kit. Read more

It is easy to install. I needed to do some small modifications to the window vent, but the product runs and cools this area perfectly. We now expanded our living area adding this air conditioner. I haven't received my electric bill, but our comfort far surpass the cost. Read more

cools down our whole apartment living room kitchen and our bedroom its about as loud as most window units but is much easier to install and move since you only hook a hose to the window and keep the window basically just cracked with the included blocking Read more

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I picked this one due to not so loud. It’s extremely loud. Coolness has only got to cool 300 square feet and it’s got to run continuously to do this to have 74 degrees. Not so happy. Read more

Selected this unit due to the value, reviews and reported coverage area. I guess you can only trust reviews so much. So far, so okay... It's loud and fearing that this is a major electricity sucker. My current electricity usage is already more than we used for the entire month of June and we're only 9 days into July. It's starting to make a noise and not sure if it's normal or we have an issue already. The room we use this in is only 250 sq ft and it's rated for up to 450 sq ft. We've set the cool to temp at 68 and it has yet to cut off. Running for almost a week without shutting off automatically. We've had to shut it off manually. Read more

Honestly this thing is great. You dont have to worry about the excess water because it puts that into the dehumidifier tank and refuses it to help cool down the room in AC mode. Pretty ingenious. I will say that the plastic window vent it comes with didnt fit in either of my windows because they open sideways, so I needed to purchase a new kit & ended up putting it out my sliding glass door. Still, this thing is great & is perfect to help ease the pressure off my central A/C which can struggle here in Florida during the summer months when its ridiculously hot Read more

There is nothing like the heat in the south on July 4. We ordered this to take camping. We have a camper with 2 slide outs but it still gets hot sometimes. We took this nice unit and set it up on a 6 inch plastic crate for easy access to drain it. Yes you will have to drain the condensation, but not as often if you put it up so it can get airflow. We already learned this trick. It was very easy to vent out of a small window and chilled very nicely. The noise is no more than a fan which is great. It has wheels and we just moved it to the shower when packing up. Oh it also has a remote control which is great. We just sat it on one temp. It kept us and 2 dogs nice and chilly in this southern summer heat. This thing is built to last. We definitely would recommend it. Read more
