I used this cable to program my STRYKER SR-447HPC2. To do this I followed the directions available on the SUPPORT / SOFTWARE section of the STRYKER RADIOS website. Using the Windows 10 operating system, first I installed the PROLIFIC 3.2.0.0 driver, then I installed the SR_447HP_Setup_1.02 programming software. If the programming software is not connecting properly to the radio, you must select SETUP / COMMUNICATION PORT in the programming software and select another COM port. Make note, you can not use any generic USB cable to do this, as this PROLIFIC format cable has electronics built in to the USB connector portion of the cable. This cable appears to be well made and fairly rugged. Read more

Many export / 10-meter-radio-that-can-be-converted-to-11-meter radios built today have a USB connector on the back so you can use that companies software to program the radio. This cable which will also work with the older Alinco DR-135DX is the one you need. If you already have the cable for the DX-135B you're good to go. If not, get this cable. Thankfully the price for this cable was only $16 (U.S.) because I would have been really po'd by spending a lot more $$$ for a cable, only to find that the software doesn't let you do very much in the areas of customization or varying the features you can change by merely using the function button on the front display.
