I’ve been using this vest for a few months and I love that the weights are adjustable and solid. I have been increasing the weight gradually and I am definitely getting stronger. I also purchased the heavier one for my husband and he’s been using it consistently. Walking up hills is a great fat burner! And I love that I’m protecting my bone density. Read more
So I wasn’t sure when I got this, but I love it. You can adjust the weight, it goes on easy and has good padding for the shoulders. I use it everyday on my walks and it enhances my workout. It is made well and is good quality for the money. Read more
I have had my 40 lb vest for almost 2 months. Wear it daily when walking. Very comfortable and the weights are easly adjustable. Only issue I have is the side seam has come unraveled already on the front of the vest. The weights are not falling out but looks bad, and should last considerably longer than less than 2 months for the price. Read more
This vest is very well-made and the individual 2 1/2 pound weights are easy to add and remove as desired. It has a large clip on each side of the vest to secure front of vest to back of vest via a belt. The belt is fully adjustable and there’s a padded piece underneath the belt so that it doesn’t dig into your skin while you’re walking. I am 6 foot two and getting my head through the neck. Hole of the vest usually requires me turning it slightly to the side so that it clears more comfortably. But once it’s on, it’s very comfortable. The first few times I wore it and tried to walk my usual distance, I was whooped by the time I got back. And I started at 20 pound weight. Although I weighed 40 pounds more at one point in my life, I was amazed at how fatiguing just having 20 pounds of weight in the vest was while walking. It makes it hard for me to believe that I weighed the full 40 pounds more, which is the maximum capacity of this fest. Overall a good buy and well-made. Very happy. Read more
Durable and can easily fluctuate the weight in the vest and how it’s distributed. Did a decent amount of research prior to buying these and feel like this was a good buy. Read more
Comfort 9/10 Weight adjustability 11/10 This is a solid weight vest. Price point to overall quality. I use it for pull ups, dips, running on the treadmill. I am 6’ tall, 190 lbs (in shape) it fits me well, I have the straps tightened all the way for when I run with it otherwise it bounces a little. There are 16 2.5 lb weights to it. So it’s not just a 20-30-40 lb vest. It’s versatile for my use and my wife’s. For other vests weighing 40 lbs I saw a price range of 175-250+ so for the price you pay on this one AND my overall pleasure with it. It’s a STEAL. Read more
I love this weighted vest! I purchased this because I remember watching The Biggest Loser years ago and the finalists would have to carry the weight they'd lost at the end. At the time of this purchase I'd lost 40 lbs and wanted to see what it was like to try and carry the weight I'd lost. When the package arrived, I couldn't hardly pick it up because it was so heavy! What a moment for me! Realizing that I couldn't hardly move it, yet I'd been carrying that weight around for quite a while on a daily basis. It was a phenomenal moment, and now I'm down 60 lbs. Anyway, I chose this particular one because of the reviews. It was a little more expensive than others, but I'd rather buy something of quality. I just recently pulled it out to use it and I have started with just 10 lbs. I normally do an incline 2.5 mile walk on my treadmill every single day (from a 2% up to an 8% then back down). My typical average heart rate at the end is between 142-144 bmp. With this vest on, at just 10 lbs, it is now an average of about 155 bpm! I wish I had started using this sooner! I absolutely feel like it adds a new level to my workout, and a great sweat as well. Also, it is very comfortable to wear. It does not rub up against me or anything and is comfortable on my shoulders. I highly recommend! Read more
Review for 30 lb. version PROS: • easy to adjust the weight • 2.5 lb weight increments CONS: • It smells bad with a strong industrial odor • Took two weeks to air out the smell • The weights have a rough finished. • The stitching might not hold up over time UPDATE: It took two weeks of leaving the weights outside to get rid of the smell. The vest feels hot when wearing it, even though it’s open on the sides. I’m 5’5” 140lbs. and the vest is a good fit for someone my size. It’s a little snug getting my head through the neck hole but it’s not a problem. There is some decent padding in the shoulders but it might not be enough if I’m wearing the vest a long time and with the vest fully loaded. The shoulder straps are not adjustable. For a smaller torso it’s a good fit. A taller person might run into issues with the waist strap sitting mid-chest. It’s more open than other vests with panels on the sides. This one is more breathable and not restrictive for pull-ups. It has 12 pockets for the weights so the total weight can be adjusted in small increments. I’m planning on using this for rucking, pullups, and dumbbell squats. It doesn’t hinder my mobility for those exercises. The waist belt is not sewn onto the vest. There are 2 shorter pieces with D rings and one long strap with Velcro ends. The short pieces Velcro onto the vest and the long strap goes through one D ring then behind your back and then through the other D ring. The strap is pretty long so it can be adjusted to a wide range for the waist size. My main complaint is a strong industrial odor, I think it’s from the paint on the metal weights. They smell like a box of crayons. The finish on the bars is rough, It’s not smooth like weights at a gym. The smell might be the paint, but the odor also soaked into the vest. I’m going to try airing everything out but the smell is pretty annoying when you are wearing the vest and constantly under your nose. If I can’t get rid of the smell I’ll have to return it. Read more
