UPDATED: The seller saw my original 3-star review. I wanted to correct the original review to include the following (I left my original review as first written below): Upon my initial review by the seller, they wanted to make sure I was a "happy customer" and offered me a full refund. I wanted to be clear - these filters did their job and made for clean water from our well. We have sediment, rust and Manganese - so filtering is paramount - these filters took all the smell and iron taste out of the water. The issue I had personally - was the amount of pressure drop - so this could be my well pump/tank but also could be the level these filter to. We used them for a month and pressure really never got worse, so I assume it was how the media filters the water. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Does a great job at removing the bad taste and iron, however, I only gave it 3 stars because the pressure drop is really bad. Maybe I got some bad filters, but can't flush the toilet and then brush teeth or wash hands right after the flush. Forget trying to shower and wash clothes or dishes at the same time. Going back to the original iSpring filters that filter same quality but has nearly "0" pressure drop. Read more

5 micron whole house water filter

So the filter work pretty well so far, we have well water and I have one just right after the well, and another just before the water heater. My well is heavy on sediment and the water comes very clear, as well as good pressure. I have the 5 micron and still has good pressure. The only issue I have with the filter, being carbon based, the day of the install the water started to come out black as if you were washing coal, it took a while to flush the entire system, so be prepared to leave a faucet running for a a while. I left one open in the kitchen for maybe 15-20 mins and there was still some darkness in the water. Read more
