We get our water from a municipal system sourced from Lake Michigan. I take a shower twice a day during the work week. I had a lot of bacne and the shower curtain liner yellowed before this product (SF100 unit, SFC100 filters). Not anymore. I've used this for a couple of months now. My hair is clean and soft. My skin is better. We have great water pressure and I have not seen any meaningful degradation in the water flow. I plan on replacing the filter every 90 days. This is my second time purchasing this filter. The first time using, I failed to pay attention to its effectiveness. Second go around, I notice a difference. The water in NYC was really drying out my skin to the point of pure dry spots appearing in and out of the shower. Applying lotions after bathing, the lotions and oils would not stay on my skin. These are great!! We have really hard water which drys my skin and hair out very badly but these are a game changer!! When we installed the first one I was skeptical but within a few days I could already feel the difference in my skin and within a few weeks I could see a huge improvement in my hair!!! Easy to install, doesn’t affect water pressure until it gets full of the mineral deposits that my water company considers acceptable levels which is crazy considering how it affects my skin and hair. I don’t love having to purchase filters but I do love not having my skin and hair dry and brittle. I generally don't leave reviews but this genuinely fixed my backne because the water is so terrible here in southern florida. It makes my face skin feel less dehydrated and dry/scratchy. I usually get itchy all over my body after a shower and red but the filter fixes it. I legit figured I would just not buy a new filter and learned the hard way after a good year of using it (I know it says every 6 months but eh). I took out the filter and immediately red itchy lesions all over, immediately ordered another filter to hopefully fix it and it did so idk man.
